1960 Austin Healey Sprite for sale
Current customer rating:
1960 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite 2 nd owner. we purchased the car in 1973.
Car underwent a full ground-up restoration 800 miles ago.
Started with a rust-free tub (from Las Vegas).
Not a trailer queen. but a very presentable car.
Engine: Original 948. head redone. carburetors rebuilt.
Transmission: Rebuilt ribcase. new synchros. new clutch.
Suspension & undercarriage: New bushings. most parts have been powder-coated. 4 new shocks.
Brakes: Disc brake upgrade. stainless steel brake lines. new/rebuilt hydraulics.
Electrical: New cloth wire loom. new turn indicator switch. new ignition switch. new brake switch. new fuel sender (everything works).
Wheels & Tires: 4 chrome wire wheels. spare is a painted wire. 5 new Bridgestones.
Interior: Full Moss Motors interior kit.
Paint: 1987 Jaguar British Racing Green. a couple of small but touched-up dings. (My wife wouldn't co-sign selling the children after restoration!)
Spares: Pertronix electronic ignition (I did plan on putting that in next tune-up). original front sway bar. unrestored front bumper with badge bar.
Old but unused side curtains (paper is still on the acrylic). original steering wheel. spare carburetors. DCOE 40 Weber with manifold. top bow and header rail.
No convertible top. but have a tonneau and working on getting that installed.
Needs: choke cable (as of this evening).
Selling the car will be like losing a member of the family. but there's a new project in the wings.
