1958 Nash #562 for sale
Current customer rating: (293 votes ) based onPRETTY MUCH ALL ORIGINAL AND A VERY SOLID CAR. I DECIDED TO SELL MY METROPOLITAN AS I HAVE MY EYE ON ANOTHER VINTAGE CAR . AND MUST LET GO OF ONE TO GET ANOTHER.
THIS IS A GOOD RUNNING & DRIVING VEHICLE THAT NEEDS NOTHING TO GO ON A CRUISE RIGHT NOW. I HAVE A --LARGE-- BRIEF CASE OF REPAIR SLIPS. & LOTS OF INFORMATION THAT WAS COLLECTED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER : INCLUDING AN ORIGINAL SHOP MANUAL AND OWNERS MANUAL THAT WILL BE IINCLUDED WITH THIS SALE AS WELL.
YOU CAN SEE BY THE PICTURES THAT THERE ARE SOME IMPERFECTIONS (WHICH ARE COMMON WITH A VEHICLE OF THIS AGE) BUT THE SHEET METAL IS GOOD. NO ROT THROUGH. IT WAS REPAINTED ONCE BEFORE I EVER GOT IT. BUT IT WAS DONE IN THE ORIGINAL COLOR.
SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT. THIS IS WHAT MY HUSBAND HAS DONE TO IT. HE INSTALLED A NEW WATER PUMP AND A NEW BATTERY. AND ALSO DID SOME ADJUSTMENTS HERE AND THERE. THE TIRES ARE AT ABOUT 80%. WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE THE HEATER CORE WAS NOT INSTALLED IN IT ( WHICH WAS NOT A PROBLEM FOR ME AS I ONLY DROVE IT IN THE SUMMER) BUT WILL BE INCLUDING IT WITH THIS SALE. ALL LIGHTS . TURN SIGNALS. AND HORN WORK AS THEY SHOULD. THE GLASS IS GOOD. AND WINDOWS CRANK UP AS THEY SHOULD. MOST IMPORTANTLY THE DOORS DO NOT SAG! NO MAJOR OIL LEAKS---YOU COULD BUY THIS CAR TODAY AND DRIVE IT TOMORROW. THE RADIO DID WORK WHEN I GOT IT (ITS A TUBE RADIO AND IT TAKES A WHILE TO WARM UP) BUT WAS VERY CRACKLY AND JUST ACTUALLY QUIT WORKING ON ME LAST YEAR.
I HAVE TAKEN THIS VEHICLE TO NUMEROUS CAR SHOWS AND CAR CRUISES AND IT ALWAYS GETS LOTS OF ATTENTION. PEOPLE ALWAYS WANT TO COME OVER AND TALK ABOUT THIS LITTLE CAR. ITS FUN TO DRIVE!
IT COMES WITH A CLEAN WISCONSIN TITLE

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++
NOW I DID PUT A RESERVE ON THIS AUCTION. HOWEVER IT IS WAY LESS THAN I SEE MOST OF THESE VEHICLES GOING FOR. PLEASE DONT ASK WHAT THE RESERVE IS
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
NOTE--THIS VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD --AS IS--NO IMPLIED WARRANTY EXISTS
I HAVE ADDED THREE EXTRA PICTURES AS I REALIZED THESE WERE OMITTED FROM THE ORIGINAL AUCTION. THESE ARE THE "IMPERFECTIONS" THAT I ALLUDED TO EARLIER IN MY ADD. ON THE ONE PICTURE YOU WILL SEE THAT THE PAINT IS CHIPPED OFF ( ITS ON THE RIGHT SIDE BY THE HOOD) . BUT IT IS SOLID UNDERNEATH. THE BUBBLING IS ON THE RIGHT REAR TOP OF THE FENDER. ITS NOT FROM RUST COMING THROUGH. ITS PROBABLY FROM DIRT UNDER THE PAINT. POSSIBLE POOR PREPPING WHEN IT WAS REPAINTED. AS MY HUSBAND ACTUALLY CLIMBED IN THE TRUNK TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANY RUST THROUGH AND THERE IS NOTHING. ITS THE WAY I GOT IT AND IT HAS NOT GOTTEN ANY WORSE SINCE THEN.
EVEN WITH THESE IMPERFECTIONS THE CAR PRESENTS WELL. ON A SCALE OF 1-10 FOR A PAINT JOB I GUESS I WOULD HAVE TO GIVE IT A 7 (IN MY OPINION).
AGAIN----PLEASE--PLEASE-- ASK QUESTIONS PRIOR TO BIDDING.
