1972 Reliant Regal

Thanks for stopping by to take a look at our very cool 1972 Reliant Regal 3-30.  This car was the inspiration for the character “Tomber” in Disney's Cars Movies.  Fans of the BBC will recognise the Reliant as a bane to Mr. Bean. a regular featured character in Fools and Horses and most infamously spoofed by Top Gear.

Rarity

Produced in large quantities for 30 odd years. a vintage Reliant is now a rare sight in the UK and rarer still in the US. Right hand drive! 3 Wheels! Licensed as a motorcycle.  

Exterior

Fresh. factory correct to this car. two stage clear coated Royal Blue is gorgeous.  It has been color sanded and buffed to a high sheen. Check the extensive restoration photographs at www. driven. co to get a look at the process.

Floors

Floors are solid.  Frame rails are as well. This is a zero rust car.

Engine

The 848 cc engine runs well and shifts through a 4 speed transmission with reverse.  The cars runs and drives like it should and is well. reliable.  Freshly serviced radiator. new water pump. starter. alternator. belts and hoses. premium wires and plugs.  Runs awesome.

Service

Fresh service. turnkey and ready to go. Coolant. oil. filters. hoses and belts.

Trim

The chrome trim is in good to excellent shape.  See pics and video.  

Glass

The glass is in excellent condition. New weatherstrips.

Interior

Nice interior. dash and headliner. Very nice door panels. Excellent panel fit. Period correct Navigation system in place. though some pages may be missing by now.

Audio

Period correct Euro shortwave radio

Boot

Nicely trimmed out with carpeting. No evidence of any prior damage or repairs.

Odometer

The odometer shows 43816 miles.  

DMV / Documentation

The title is clear and all documentation is included.  No back fees are due.  No smog is required. Very low cost Antique registration and insurance for most US States.  A complete build book is included with build pictures. detailed information. receipts and specs. Disney Eye's sunshade included

Comparables

There are few cars that compare with the Reliant Regal 3-30 Saloon. There are reportedly less than 20 in the US  and not that many nice ones left in the UK. We would be willing to bet that. unless you are parked next to us. you'll not park anywhere near another.
