VW GOLF GTI 16V MK2, NOT G60/EDITION ONE/8V/VR6/ 20V TURBO

This MK2 has been my pride and joy for the past 5 years. I now have nowhere dry to keep it so it has to go. it is just too nice and had to much money spent on it to just be left sitting on the drive. Over the past 3 years it has undergone restoration. only thing that hasn't been done is a respray and that is because other than a few tiny marks it is perfect work carried out; I have put cost where possible to remember although a hell of alot of man hours by myself and my mechanic has gone into this starting at the bottom- new copper brake lines £100 car fully undersealed £?? front subframe & rear axel stripped back and painted body coloured £??? fully polybushed £100 new power-steering gaitors & drive shaft boots £???? new front hubs/ wheel bearings/ track-rod ends/ wishbones new discs and pads (front) new discs and pads (rear) new rear wheel bearings MK4 rear calipers Goodridge braided brake hoses all round new power-steering pump AP Coilovers £500 OMP front lower strut brace OMP rear strut brace ENGINE- rebuilt 16v KR engine with ported head. done around 15K. body of the car has done around 150K - (165-170bhp) £700 4-branch manifold £120 Stainless exhaust new battery starts instantly no dodgy earth like they normally have Body- Brand new original VAG G60 arches £500 Brand new original VAG GTI grill £100 Brand new original VAG grill fitting kit £??? Brand new original VAG grill badge (Black) £30 Brand new original VAG hella headlanps £90 Brand new original VAG hella inner spots (blue label) £90 Brand new original VAG front indicators (orange) £??? Brand new original VAG rear lights (orange indicator) £50 Brand new original VAG 16v half smoked hella rear lights (still in the box) £170 original de-locked handles (believe the are from a rallye) £40 single wiper conversion using genuine vag parts all original badges apart from rear VW being a polished item original BBS RZ wheels 15x7J taken from a BMW E30 as they are slightly wider than mk3 golf/ corrado ones £170 Nankang 185/45/15 tyres (brand new) £230 good quality aftermarket big bumper fog lights (still in box) £50 Interior - Rainbow interior (apart from drivers seat)headrests fitted at rear £110 New window motors fitted VW votex mats £45 new heater matrix fitted £30 that is £3225 from just the prices i have written. you will obveously see all the other parts come to alot more than that plus the car has a very iconic plate (G16 DUB) at a cost of £600 and prob priceless to a golf 16v owner all in all this is a very original car and i have no doubt that it will be worth alot more than what it goes for when it is finished and a few years have gone by as these are increasing in value all the time and are very sort after especially in this condition things that it needs to be perfect (in my opinion) 1)Rainbow drivers seat as i have not yet been able to source a decent one. although i do have a spare seat with decent bolsters i will include. you will just need rainbow material 2) an original or period (80's) stereo ( the car comes without a stereo) 3) a rear bumper. not neccessary but I am very picky and there are some stress marks on the black section 4) gear linkage bushes very cheap and simple to do and this will make it feel brand new 5) an original leather GTI steering wheel (i have a rubber one and a momo one that will come with the car) 6) an original back box (may not be to your taste but i think it would finish it off) 7) some front camber bolts and 4 wheel lazer alignment just to get everything absolutly perfect 8) a set of fog light brackets so that the fogs can be fitted 9) at some point (before my ownership) it looks as if someone has tried to get in via the passenger door. just under the handle there is a dent. it can't be seen unless you look underneath but I am fussy so bought another door which will be included in the sale. 10) I personally would have the wheels silver as they are a bronze colour at the moment.
