Electric Custom Hot Rod 1952 Ford F1 Truck Street Legal Show Quality for sale
Current customer rating:
Street legal - I use it to commute to work.
Great for in-town driving and car shows. Will get LOTS of attention - she's a beauty. Frame-off restoration of chassis. Motor 96 HP Advanced DC Motor with 1000 miles on it. operates w/ 144 V 72. 00 watts. Curtis #1231 C Controller remanufactured this summer(60 miles ago). Range 35-50 miles (depending on hills).
Top speed 70 mph -in hilly driving 50 mph more realistic (on full charge).
Batteries have less than 600 miles and are 18 8 V Trojan 890's new in October 2011. Electric windows and doors. Lightning bolt upholstery and lightning bolt turn signals.
Custom paintjob with lightning/electricity detail (was told the paint job was >$20. 00 when I bought)but has minor chips and damage due to road driving. Set up for recharge with backup gasoline generator for when no plug-ins. needs new generator and eval. of generator charging system-used to work well before generator burned up).
Power Suicide doors (safety interlock - cannot be opened with power door opener when ignition is on) - has manual secret entry.
Fiberglass front.
Power lift on front and bed - helps to service front components and rear and batteries.
Full documentation. schematics. and many. many pictures of build from start.
Serious inquiries only.
No salesmen or advertisers please.
I am 3 rd owner.
First owner did frame-off restoration and conversion to electric.
Second owner added back-up gasoline generator for recharging in areas with no plug-ins ( generator is NOT working currently but does not affect main electric system).
2 nd owner used it for car shows mostly - garaged but did not drive much.
As 3 rd owner I have used it to commute to school and go to car shows/events.
I won 2 nd place in the only car show I entered - and it was dirty ( cat prints and dusty).
I keep it in the garage as well.
First 2 pictures are from my ownership (professional photographer asked to use for his portfolio!). remainder of pictures are from second and first owner.
Car is not as clean now since it is a daily driver. but I am happy to take more pictures and email to you as needed.
I suggest buyers come and visit for a real viewing.
It must be seen in person to appreciate craftsmanship.
Never fails to impress.
Buyer responsible for pick-up and shipping (I shipped it from Chicago - approx. $1000. ).
Cashier's check preferred as payment.
