CHEVROLET CORVETTE RARE 1979 FACTORY L82 CAR WITH FACTORY SPOILER PACKAGE.

THIS CAR IS A GENUINE 1979 CORVETTE WITH THE HIGHEST OUTPUT L82 ENGINE & FACTORY SPOILERS.

This is a number matching car with it's original L82 engine still in place Code ZBB is clearly visible on the block as well as the last digits of the vin.  The paint & interior codes are also correct and denote Corvette Dark Green with Light Beige Leather.

BODY.   The car require paint to one headlight lid. plus a major patch on the driver's door and a patch on one side of the bonnet. The paint to the rear spoiler has faded slightly and there are some smaller areas where the lacquer is lifting. The headlights lift & close OK. Passenger electric window works well but driver's works when it has a mind to. The car sits on a really good set of original factory alloys all shod with virtually new P255/60 Cooper Cobra tyres.

INTERIOR.     I would say on the whole that it's all original and in a decent to good condition.   No rips or undue wear to the seats. decent door cards. good console and handbrake surround etc.   The dash is in fine shape with none of the usual cracks or wear.   There's a Pioneer system with an equalizer mounted in the glovebox. The carpets and compartment frames behind the seats all appear in decent order.

MECHANICS.       The original cast manifold and Rochester have just been replaced with a brand new Edelbrock Performer Inlet plus a new Holley 600. The engine runs Headman Headers in to the original undercar exhaust.   The brakes are superb having been replaced with stainless callipers and recent m/cylinder etc. It looks like it also had four new rotors fitted. There is an invoice with the car for £2006 worth of work only recently carried out. This included servicing and changing of all oils. filters etc plus the supply & fitting of a new starter motor. new inlet & new 600 Holley with new air cleaner. plus all the associated parts etc.  In other words. the mechanics have truly just been gone right through to bring this car up to a usable on the key example.

This is virtually a full service history car from new with a folder of invoices dating right back and through it's years in America before coming to the UK in . The car is on the key. MOT'd. starts first time and drives very well. In fact this L82 car is far quicker than most C3's you'll experience. The odd patches of required paint let the car down and really scream out to be done. but overall this car really does stand well. It's a car to drive this summer and then fully paint next winter ready for the following year. Not many L82 79's about with the correct factory spoilers and this beauty really does just want some paint along with a few nit-picky jobs doing to bring it up in to the £9000 plus league. Excellent mechanics. factory alloys. new matching Cooper P255's. recently fully serviced plus recent brakes and a decent interior. all make this car a cheap buy with a starting price of a silly £5750! But make no mistake. it's on sale from there.
