Selling a 1979 MG MGB for the family due to the recent passing of their husband/father that owned it. This car was used to cruse around the town where their summer cottage was located. It was bought and kept in the garage there most of its life. It was in tip top shape and kept up to above standards till 2009. After that point in time the car was only started and drove down the driveway and back due to it not having insurance and the gentleman's health not being 100 %. The car does start right up and run. I drove it down the local street here and the only thing I could really say is the brakes could use to be looked at. It stops just fine. It might just be that the car needs to be driven around and that's why I am feeling the rears grab not so smoothly. Again it might just need to be driven! The car has sat and due to that there is some rust on both sides in the rocker panel areas. Nothing that could not be fixed if the new owner wishes to do so. I included photos of the underneath of the car looking up at the floor area. They seem to be very solid as you can see. I did not see any other rust any place else on the car. The odometer reads 7936 miles. The family from what they told me upon asking about mileage is the distance around the lake is 13. 9 miles. So it would take along time through out the years to accumulate just that many miles on it with it being driven only once in a while each year. Please look the photos over and make your purchase off them. The car does need to be washed and detailed as you can tell. It was below 15 degrees here when we took the photos so washing it was not an option without it freezing. I have listed all I know about this great little 1979 MGB. Listing this car as is and for parts or repair due to the time it has sat the last few years. Car will also need a new battery for this one is not holding a charge. Clean title in hand. Cash payed upon pick up. If you are interested in having the car shipped that is fine. Payment do by the means of a bank to bank wire transfer will be fine. Those are the only two forms of payment that will be excepted. All sales are final. Thank you.
