1979 International Harvester Scout for sale
Current customer rating:
Very nice 79 Scout II here. built with intent of keeping forever. now need to sell.
Over $33 k invested.
I built it to be capable off road but it ended up nicer than orginally planned so hasn't been off the pavement.
Over $10 k in body work and paint.
I'll try to remember everything I've done to it:
-Rebuilt motor and automatic transmission with about 1. 00 miles.
Block machined . 030. new pistons. rings-New 4 barrel Edelbrock truck avenger off road-carb - very quick throttle response-Very nice paint job-Axles rebuilt with new 3. 56 gears. Yukon Duragrip lockers. and Warn manual hubs-4" Skyjacker lift-Interior Line-X'd-Original seats in good condition - tear in the vinyl on driver's side by door-Interior door panels were remade with original plaid material-33 x 13. 5 swampers with full size spare-Factory Warn winch bumper with Warn 8274-has cover and remote. and wired to interior control in cab - bumper slightly dented. it came off a rolled scout.
Never connected. but appears to be in good condition. -New fuel tank. lines. and pump-New brakes - rotors and pads on the front. drums and shoes on rear-New ac compressor to convert to 134 a-New reproduction rear bumper
Not completed -ac/heat hoses not connected. compressor not wired-radio not installed. no speakers-headliner for the top is missing - i do have the plastic side panels-steering box is leaking - not leaking from anywhere else-i didn't bother to paint the frame. axles. or wheel wells - i didn't see the point
