Porsche 944 turbo 1990

This is my 1990 Porsche 944 Turbo which I have had since 2000 but have now decided to sell. She is the later ‘bridge spoiler' model with the 250bhp engine and has been subtly modified to make her both quick and reliable.

 Anyway the basic details:

 944 turbo. 5 speed manual with limited slip diff. Finished in Glacier Blue with Linen Porsche logo interior. electric seats and all the usual 944 Turbo bits. Unusually it is a ‘sunroof delete' body with air conditioning.

Originally supplied in Jan 1990 by AFN (the importers in those days) to my sister's father-in-law this car has had just two owners and I have known it all its life. It has now done nearly 153. 00 miles and runs like clockwork.

I have made a few modifications to improve performance and comfort:

·         Porsche ‘Sports Design Two' 2 piece  18” alloys with P zero's

·         Uprated. cross drilled brakes with braided lines. 1144 pads and ATE Blue fluid

·     KW Variant 3 coilover suspension. fully adjustable ride height and damping

·         Uprated (968) anti-roll bar and wishbone mounts

·         Hayward & Scott decat large bore stainless steel exhaust

·         K&N air filter

·         Lyndsey racing dual port wastegate and uprated dump valve

·         Re-mapped ECU giving an estimated 320bhp overall and still returning 33mpg in normal driving!

·         964 RS steering wheel

·         Panasonic CD player

There is a full service history and a thick file of bills. I do routine services myself including oil changes twice a year (Millers 10-40 and  Swepco). Anything I can't handle is done by EMC Motorsport in Birmingham – the well known 944 experts whose cars have won the Championship more times than anyone else. Prior to my ownership she was service according to the schedule by Porsche or specialists. The belts (including the tensioners) were last done at 125. 00 and the gearbox and LSD were replaced at 133. 00.

As you can see I have invested a lot of time and money in making this into a special car and in 2003 she won the TIPEC national concours completion.

Now for the bad news. I have been too busy to look after her properly this last year and taking out of the garage after the winter shows that she needs a bit of love and attention to get her back to her former glory. In particular the drivers side front wing has corroded and needs repair or replacement. There are a few other rust spots. dings and scrapes on the bodywork and it's about time she had a thorough service and check over. She is due an MoT and the tax runs out at the end of April. I just don't have time to do it so I'm putting her on the market as she is to see if some enthusiast will take on the job.

You can see that I am asking £5. 50 which I think is a fair price considering that the extras alone cost more than £10k but I am happy to discuss sensible offers. with a new MoT and the wings repaired she would be £7. 00 so a chance for a bargain if you can do the work yourself.
