The El Camino already has an interesting place in all of our hearts where one vehicle is both a comfy sedan and a versatile pickup.

But a few add that extra GM flair of a bold hood bird you thought was only reserved for Pontiac T/As. That's why this exceptionally well preserved 1979 Chevrolet El Camino is already so attractive. even before you see the affordable price.

These final generation El Caminos have a particularly sleek and sporty design with a hint of classic style.

It's especially true on this nicely preserved example.

After all. the factory black not only showcases how well the original paint still shines today. but also it highlights how straight the sheetmetal still is.

The Royal Knight edition seems like the best of everything from its era. so a decal kit was added to this car.

Not only do you get that cool pickup/sedan feeling. but also you can't help but feel a little Smokey and the Bandit style swagger with this Chevy's own gold hood bird and gold striping package.

Plus. you still get all the things you love about 4 th generation of El Caminos. including the Malubu front end. color-matched rally wheel package. and rear bumper with integrated taillight package.

It all appears in quite nice condition thanks to this one averaging less than 1. 00 miles annually.

And while the preservation has been exceptional. you'll also love that the truck bed has been upgraded with a wood insert and a cover to keep it dry.

One look inside and you'll realize why you never want to tint the windows.

The tan interior just looks like part of the coordinating body stripe package. and it's just as well preserved as the exterior. too.

Even with all its style. this Elky doesn't lose its versatility.

The split bench seats three. and there's even space remaining behind it to store some items out of sight.

The sharp dash will look familiar to anyone who's driven a 4 th gen Malibu.

This one even comes with plenty of great convenience features such as the factory AM/FM/cassette stereo. cruise control. and provisions for air conditioning.

Under the hood is exactly what you want to see.

It's Chevy's 305 cubic-inch small-block V 8 that we love because of how reliable they are.

It already has a four-barrel carburetor. and it's exceptionally easy to upgrade and source parts.

But as you can see from the tidy engine bay. this one has been unmolested and only received proper care over the years.

In fact. the consignor believes this is the original motor. and we have yet to find any evidence to doubt it.

This El Camino is setup to be an easy all-day cruiser with features such as a three-speed automatic transmission. power steering. and front disc brakes.

Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.

The winning bidder is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

A $500 Paypal deposit is required immediately upon selecting the Buy-It-Now option. The $500 Paypal deposit is non-refundable as ending an e Bay auction and not buying the vehicle is very damaging to the seller. Any refunds will be at the sole discretion of Streetside Classic Cars and are not guaranteed.

If winning bidder does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close. vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

For balance of payment we will accept bank wire transfer (preferred). cashier's check. or personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears).
