In coupe form. the New Yorker. along with its contemporaries from other manufacturers. defined the full-size. V 8 engined personal luxury 2-door car which became a uniquely American tradition. The Eighth-generation 1974-78 New Yorker was significant in that it was the last full-size car built by Chrysler from the ground up. This is a very nice example in original condition. with its 25. 00 mileage certified genuine by its one previous owner. The condition of the car. particularly its upholstery. is in keeping with the mileage. The previous owner removed the vinyl roof (and painted the underlying metal to prevent corrosion). which could be replaced if desired. The car is in good mechanical condition. being fitted with its correct 400 cubic inch (6. 6 litre) motor. and it drives beautifully.
