Current customer rating: current rating for this car(4.3) based on 463 votes
Selling this BEAUTIFUL 1987 BMW M 6. E 24. This is the original shark! One of the most beautiful cars ever made and a true joy to drive! Low miles on new matching number motor but it has been driven a lot and should continue to be! The 1987 M 6 was voted fastest car in Car and Driver Magazine (I will include original Magazine with sale).

Paint and Body: Very straight body with no dents or dings. Original Red color! Paint is 9. 5/10.

Interior: Interior is gray with charcoal trim and is beautiful. High-line Leather. Interior on these cars was ahead of it's time! Front two seats have had leather replaced. Rest of the interior is original. No rips. Momo M Series Steering wheel and shift knob. Pretty amazing to look at.

Motor: Motor is a matching number S 38 B 35 Motor! Original one was blown on the track. so a replacement with 100 k miles was put in. Motor now has 101 k miles on it. (odometer shows 205 k). VERY low mileage on it. Have paperwork to show purchase of new motor.
Paperwork: Clean titled California car with clean pink slip and bill of sale.
This car is beautiful. It has a zender body kit (size skirts) and a few other unique upgrades including exhaust. steering wheel. shit knob. spoiler. bumper billows. etc that make a rare car that much more unique. It's truly one of the fastest. best driving vehicles you will ever drive. I have never had any mechanical issues with the car and it is a real head turner! Absolutely Beautiful (especially for a 30 year old vehicle).

I advise anyone interested in this vehicle to come look at it in person to see how beautiful it is. and to also know that this is the car they want. I DO NOT accept returns or issue refunds and ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

Extra notes about these cars: In 1983 BMW took the M 88/3 six-cylinder engine. a modified version of the M 88/1 from the BMW M 1 and put it in the E 24 chassis of the BMW 6-Series. creating the M 635 CSi (called the M 6 in North America). The M 6 was critically acclaimed throughout its lifespan for its elegant. aggressive "shark-nose" styling. its luxury equipment. and its performance. A top speed of 255 km/h (158 mph)[4] makes the European version the second fastest BMW ever built next to the M 1. This is due to all other BMW models being electronically restricted to 250 km/h (155 mph). However. Rug Cunninham BMW ran a bone stock 1987 BMW M 6 in the La Carrera Classic Race in Mexico in 1989. and reportedly recorded a top speed of 283 km/h (176 mph) indicated. An M 6 can be distinguished from other E 24 models by a larger front air dam. a rear spoiler. BBS wheels. colour matching side view mirrors. M badges on the grille and back. and slightly larger front brakes.
In North America (United States and Canada). the E 24 M 6 was fitted with the catalyzed S 38 B 35 motor. producing 191 k W (256 bhp) and 329 N·m (243 lbf·ft) of torque. The non-catalyzed version produced 213 k W (286 bhp) and 340 N·m (251 lb·ft) of torque. The non-catalyzed versions were only available in Europe. though there were 538 catalyzed M 635 csi models sold in Europe in 1988 and 1989. The 1988 and 1989 the M 6 was a "world car" with the same bumpers and aerodynamic treatments in all markets.
The M 6 achieved 0--97 km/h (0--60 mph) time of 6. 0 and 6. 8 seconds for the European and American versions. respectively.
Quarter mile times for the European version have been recorded at 14. 5 seconds while 161 km/h (100 mph) is achieved in 15 seconds. However. Car and Driver Magazine tested the U. S. M 6 in July 1987 and achieved a 0--97 km/h (0--60 mph) time of 6. 1 seconds. [5] Also in 1987 Road and Track featured the U. S. M 6 as one of the 10 fastest cars in America. [6] Production of the M 6 ended in 1989. with 5. 59 cars sold. 1. 67 of which were North American (U. S. & Canada) models.
