A luxury car, Toronados second generation 1973 for sale
Current customer rating:
I am proud to present this 1973 Oldsmobile Toronado for consideration. This vehicle is in excellent shape. and a must see for any collector. The Toronado was the first front-wheel drive vehicle produced in the United States since 1937. The interior. which is in excellent condition. features a wrap-around "command center" instrument panel that is far ahead of its time. The luxurious interior features black leather seats comfortable and with great style.
This vehicle features the original 455 cubic inch 7. 5 L rocket V 8 engine. This ride has the style of the early 70's with the engine to back it up. To find one in such excellent condition and low miles is rare. Please call or email for more details.
The 1971–78 generation is mainly noted for the early use of two safety features that are now required on all cars in the United States. the aforementioned high mounted taillights (although a somewhat similar feature had appeared briefly as an option on the Ford Thunderbird in the late 1960 s). and from 1974 through 1976. the Toronado was part of GM's first experimental production run of driver- and passenger-side airbags . which GM named the Air Cushion Restraint System . [17] These Toronados used a unique steering wheel and were fitted with a knee blocker beneath the driver's portion of the dashboard.
Very good condition.
