1968 Chevrolet Impala SS427 Convertible.  Original Big Block Car with added SS427 options.  Bench seat and column shifter with Turbo 400 automatic in good condition.  Runs great. driven daily since 2010.  Power top works great. Top frame is straight. goes up and down with no problems and latches with no problems.  Top is decent but aging.  No major rust. but has a few bad spots typical of driven convertibles form this era.  Engine is 454 installed by dealer in the 80s.  I bought it in late 2010.  According to records. miles are original but that is unverified beyond repair receipts dating back to engine installation.  Manual windows.  Power steering.  I added four wheel disc brakes with a kit from Matt's Classic Bow Ties.  Stops like a new Honda Accord. Discs are slotted and vented. 12" front and 11" rear.   Has new exhaust with new turbo mufflers.  New gas tank.  Front suspension rebuilt to factory specs- not lowered.  New shocks and springs all around.  Has factory manifold with block off plate.  Installed Original-style Corvette 427 Air Cleaner with flame arrestor and vacuum connection.  Comes with factory metal spacer for carburetor from 80's 454 Chevy Truck. Changed oil last fall. using Mobil One Synthetic and K&N Oil Filter.  NOS SS Tail Lights. NOS 427 fender badges.  New Plugs included.  Original Chevrolet Super Sport Gauge package included. I was waiting for mileage to get closer before installing them.  Also comes with Original Chevrolet Super Sport glove box badge.  Body panels are decent.  Doors are aligned-they open and close almost like new.  Top does not leak noticeably in the rain- leave it out in a bad enough rainstorm and it might get a little wet but there are no major leaks.  Floors and trunk are decent. drain plugs removed to prevent major rust.  Original color.  Upholstery is ok with no major tears and can be restored or replaced.  Carpet is decent. no major holes. Still has original top boot and well liner in decent shape.  Chrome around top well has a few dings but is nice overall.  Bumpers and Chrome trim are good but not re-chromed yet.  Glass is good and original.  Glass window in convertibel top  is also good.  Lights and signals all work.  Passenger side front marker light needs bulb.  Original wiring is good from the firewall back.  Could use headlight wiring harness.  Has large aluminum radiator and runs cool.  Tires decent but six years old.  One spare rally wheel with dented trim ring included.  GREAT project car. fun daily driver already.  Needs full restoration to be perfect but it's all there.  Buyer pays all shipping.  Drive anywhere if you're smart about it- it's almost fifty years old and unrestored.
