1959 Land Rover Series II for sale

1959 Land Rover Series II the LR defender great grandfather that spent the last 30+ years in southern Alabama. Vehicles this old in alabama do not get issued titles. Vehicle has not been registered in many years. I will sign a bill of sale and include the bill of sale I got with it. No title and that is reflected in the price. It is relatively rust free for a rover of this vintage. Needs some frame patching but it is a very usable frame. Firewall is a 7 outta 10. The upper half is in great shape. Vents open and shut smooth. This thing has spent its entire life on peanut fields in alabama. The doors close roughly. the top is bent to the left. every panel has a dent in it and it has many pieces added or replaced over the years with various pieces of other vehicles. Non original wiring and the rims have been widened at some point. Have many pictures and videos. It starts off the key. doesnt overheat and alternator charges the battery using fuel from the original tank. Lights work.
It has a buick oddfire 3. 8 V 6 with a new carb that runs fairly decent and a three speed transmission mated to the original land rover transfer case that appears to function as it should. Two new wheel cylinders and two rebuilt with new rubber lines. It stops but could use another bleeding. Drives around the block. Tires are very old and out of round. The transmission second gear kicks out of gear at high rpm. I usually just hold it in place then shift to third. Low range works fine. Search youtube for 1959 land rover series ii Andrew Hill for some videos of it running and driving around the block.

As long as its paid in full it can reside at my house until mid march when I am Moving to Korea for my next duty station. *****
