1972 MG MGB for sale
Current customer rating:
This 1972 MGB has been totally restored. It only had one previous owner. The owner died of cancer and the vehicle sat for 15 years. It was restored by a British Car restoration specialist.
It is a manual 4-speed with overdrive. Here is a list of many of the items replaced:
-new fuel tank -all electronics & hydraulics -new tires -new rims - new convertible top -new exhaust system - rebuilt radiator -new brake pads -new rotors -brake shoes -new trunk liner -new engine mounts -new battery -fan belts -carburetors -fuel tank sending unit . there's more. but by now you should get the idea that no stone was left unturned.
In lieu of painting the vehicle. it was wrapped with the highest quality 3 m cast vinyl pre-cured filmed. It has an unlimited life expectancy providing the vehicle is garage kept. If kept outside on a permanent basis. it can begin to show age between 8-10 years. But if you are a true classic car enthusiast. hopefully you would not do that.
Now. on the value and pricing of this vehicle- According to Hagerty a 1972 MGB in flawless (concours) condition (restored to a condition better than when it was originally came off the production line) it would be worth $21. 00. In excellent condition Hagerty says the vehicle has a value of $15. 00 and "Good" condition has a value as low as $6. 00.
Hagerty defines "Excellent" as "a vehicle that could win a regional car show. The flaws are only noticed by seasoned observers. Paint and chrome are in excellent condition. No excessive smoke when starting up or odd sounds. A vehicle that would drive as a new vehicle in its era would drive. "
This vehicle falls between "excellent" and "good" . but closer to "excellent". Consequently. I am pricing the vehicle at $9. 00. Actually. much more was spent on restoring the vehicle than that amount. But some things are priceless. the joy of seeing a restoration process from start to finish.
