Up for auction is our 1973 VW Kombi Camper.

As you can see the pictures speak for themselves. but here is a rundown on her.

Her name is Faith.   We have owned her for 4 years now and she hasn't missed a beat.   She has been a daily drive for 2 of those years.

She is a rare automatic.    You won't come across too many automatics in this good condition.    She is running a very strong 2 litre engine.    Both the engine and the auto gear box had been reconditioned at some stage before we purchased her.

She drives beautifully and sits on 100km on the freeway without hesitation and will do more if you want her to.   We generally cruise on 90km.    Kombi's are for cruising not speeding.

Has just had her major service so is good to go for another 5. 00km.

Don't let the automatic gearbox turn you off.     This girl has plenty of power and is so easy to drive in stop/start traffic.   No need to change gears etc.   Takes off from a stand start well and cruises along happily.    Is a little slower on the hills of course. just like any other automatic vehicle.

Gearbox shifts smoothly. no strange noises or clunks.

Everything works.   Yes. everything.   including the heater.   Nice and crispy in the winter.

Tyres are all good with heaps of tread. spare is brand new.

Has a very sweet sounding empi twin sports exhaust installed.

Full lengthy pop top with roof racks for extra luggage.

Crab bar child restraint in back.   Installed high enough so that you can still sleep in the back.   Has been padded so that you don't hit your head on it when camping.

This girl is ready for cruising.    Everything has been done.   Just jump in and drive her.   Take her on holidays.    Have lost count on the thousands of dollars we have spent on this kombi.

She is 40 years old. so she isn't perfect. but she is beautiful.   A real head turner.    As any kombi she has some small specs of rust. paint flaking and general blemishes etc.

One key fits all doors and ignition.

Any interstate buyers.    Don't  hesitate in buying her. collecting her and driving her home.   She has taken us on many long distance trips without any issues.   We have driven her on many occasions for 6 hours straight with only petrol and toilet breaks.

Since we have owned here we have only every put 98 petrol in her.   Good quality petrol goes a long way and helps maintenance the engines coolness.     No additives required.

There is even a 15 inch flip down DVD player installed to keep the rug rats amused on long trips.

Since we have owned her. she has been meticulously maintained by Wayne Penrose's team at WPVW.    Serviced every 5. 00km.   Any recommendations put forth by WPVW have been carried out.

Here is a list of things that have been done to her since we purchased her. ·       Dynamat to back section of cabin and internal walls. (Dynamat is an insulation to reduce engine and road noise) ·       Replacement of dodgy engine bay insulation with dynamat hood lining. ·       Dual battery with red arch set up ·       Flip down DVD player installed. ·       12 volt points installed in back cabin area and front area.   (3 in total) running off the dual battery system. + 1  12 volt plug running off the main battery. ·       Under dash tray installed.   A must to hold all of your goodies. ·       Two flip out cup holders in front cabin.
·       Windows tinted nice and dark. ·       Sliding windows in back cabin area installed. ·       All new window seals installed. ·       Oil temperature gauge professional installed ·       Electronic ignition professional installed. ·       Black marine carpet installed in front of cabin and walkway (with insulation for noise reduction). ·       Black and white chess flooring in the back. ·       All door cards. and panels in cabin recovered with black vinyl. ·       Rock and roll bed recovered with black vinyl. ·       New foam for back section of rock and roll bed. covered also in black vinyl. ·       Custom spare wheel cover/dash mat and steering wheel cover purchased and fitted. ·       Anti sway bars professionally installed to keep her 4 feet firmly on the ground.   She corners very well now. and stays on the road in windy conditions. ·       4 heavy duty shock absorbers professionally replaced. ·       All ball joints professionally replaced. ·       Front retractable seat belts replaced. and two seat belts in back also replaced. ·       New front brake rotors. calipers and bendix brake pads professional replaced.

There is probably a heap of stuff we have forgotten to mention.

Canvas on pop top in great condition.   Pop top opens and closes well.

Rock and roll bed is a 2 ½ seater.   It has been reinforced with metal surrounds. it's very solid.    There is also the pull out bed in the pop top section which will accommodate another child.

Pictures form a part of the description.   Don't think she will disappoint her new owner.
