1965 Morgan 4/4

1965 MORGAN LIGHTWEIGHT 4/4 RACER

This car was built at the Morgan factory by Tivvy Shenton under instruction of Charles Smith and financed by Peter Morgan the president of Morgan Car Comany at that time in 1970-1971.

Weighing only 1300 lbs the car was very successful. It was then sold to John Sheeley of Richmond Virginia.

He raced the car in various SCCA & associated auto club events in the 1990's. winning the majority of the events he entered.

He then sold the car to Paul Merrigan in 2002 who continued racing the car in SCCA. SCCA Vintage. VARA. HSR & SVRA events until 2011 when it was sold to Mac Mc Garry who campaigned it in Vintage.

Tivvy Shenton now operates Tivvy's Autocraft in Danville VA. He has confirmed the provenance of this car.

This is quite a significant car. All background information we have available. will be included in the sale. We have a folder with emails. vintage pictures and letters about the car.

Originally came with a BDA & Siera gear box and now has new 1600 Kent.

There is some cosmetic cracking around the headlight shown in the pictures

The car can been shipped out of Burnaby BC V 5 J 4 R 9 Canada or Blaine WA 98230 USA. It is the buyers responsibility to arrange shipping. We cannot arrange shipping services or give shipping quotes. The car is roughly 1500 lbs. it would need to be shipped in an enclosed trailer roll on roll off. Approx size is 7' wide x 13' long.
