1985 GMC S-15
I took this truck on trade and this is what I was told about it:
383 Stroker - 70's Block 400 Transmission - Extremely Built 10 Bolt Posi-Rear End Running a Highway Gear. Possibly a 3. 23 Gear Over-Sized Radiator Always runs cool 10 Gallon Fuel Cell Ladder Bars Heat & A/C Deleted Even the Wipers are Deleted Custom Body Work Including Shaved Fuel Door Shaved Bed Rails Painted Firewall & Bay Rust Proof Inner Fenders & Under Carriage I would give the paint a 9. would be a 10. but has a few scratches in bed and 3 small chips on rear bumper. Interior needs a headliner and your touches to make perfect. but works for now.
Also has long tube headers to dual Flowmasters Custom under carriage cross member tie in I have driven it about 700 miles to car shows and cruise nights.
Always complimented on how clean and loud it is. I never tracked it. so I do not know what it does at the track. All gauges work - except fuel gauge due to fuel cell.
Although the fuel cell has a sending unit.
Body has 98. 00 miles - Exact mileage unknown - # given is what is on the odometer.
Now has Mickey Thompson's on rear and cheapy steel rims on front with Kelley Tires.
*** This is what I was told I about the truck when I bought it . I'm a carpenter. not a mechanic! ***
