I'm selling my 1968 Jeep Wagoneer. Between my '65 Chevy C-10. Moto Guzzi Lemans 1000. Porsche Boxster S. BMW r1100rs. Audi S8. Ford 8N tractor. a job. bird hunting. sporting clays. travel. and a red headed girlfriend I just don't have time to enjoy it anymore. This thing is a time machine. All steel. no plastic. AM radio. made by Kaiser  Jeep Corp. in Toledo. Ohio. manual transmission. Warn locking hubs. The dash is sheet metal. the flooring is vinyl. it's got 2 ashtrays in the dash and 1 in the back of the front seat. About the only "modern" thing in it is seat belts! This is the predecessor to the fake wood. shag carpeted. bloated luxo barges that AMC and Chrysler produced until 1991. If you're looking for a luxury Wagoneer this isn't it!I bought this car from an individual in Arizona. Had been quail hunting south of Tucson and fell in love with its presence. Got it shipped to Georgia and spent the last year and a half getting it right. Stripped out the nasty flooring. cleaned up all the surface rust. rust proofed everything. installed new insulation and new vinyl floor covering. The seats were replaced and re-dyed turquoise to match the original. I added the Southwestern blanket to give it a desert flair and to cover some tears in the seat bottom.  Re-did all the brakes with new wheel cylinders. brake lines and a new master cylinder. Replaced all the shocks. installed new tires. flushed the engine and radiator. new spark plugs and wires. full tune up. new belts and hoses. Changed the front and rear differential oil. Replaced passenger window regulator. fixed turn signals. Buffed down the surface rust and sealed it with industrial wax (Collinite). I think it looks better than clear coat. There are only 3 issues that are worth noting:The carb's accelerator pump needs to be tweaked. Sometimes it stumbles on initial acceleration. No big deal. The rear electric window is a work in progress. All the parts are there and in good working order. I had the American Bosch electric motor rebuilt and bought a custom relayed window wiring harness from Rick Hill (of ifsja. org fame). It's all installed. but I'm having issues with getting the regulator/ motor synched properly. It's just a matter of trial and error fitment. Hopefully. I'll have it sorted out by the time it's sold. The speedometer and gauges aren't working. It hasn't bothered me and I just haven't  gotten around to sorting them out. The odometer shows 40. 00 odd miles. It's probably140. 00. But. The pedals are really in good shape and don't show much wear. The engine runs like a top and doesn't smoke or knock. True mileage is anybody's guess. That's just about it. It's a unique Wagoneer. Rust- free western Wagoneers are hard to find. This one's ready to enjoy and doesn't need any major repairs. I'm a car guy and value my 100% rating. so you can buy with confidence. There are mores pics available on request. Ebay limited me to 21. Please ask questions BEFORE you buy. We'll both be happier that way. Thanks for looking!
