1970 Dodge Dart for sale
Current customer rating:
I have for sale my 1970 Dodge Dart in Vitamin C orange. I have owned the car for a little over a year. and am selling it to buy a house. The car is in excellent condition. does not have any visible rust (inspected it on a lift before purchasing and has been garaged before and after I took ownership). and has been recently restored. The previous owner stated the restoration was completed in 2010. and that the motor and transmission were rebuilt at the same time. I have no receipts for the work completed by the previous owner.
The interior is in excellent condition. I would consider it to be a 9 out of 10. looks almost brand new. The exterior I would consider to be an 8 out of 10. The exterior shows very well from 5+ feet away. if you look closely you can see some small scratches and imperfections in the paint. Body is very straight and very solid. it appears that the car was originally yellow. After checking the VIN. I know that it was originally a V 8 equipped car with front disc brakes.
For upgrades the car has an 8. 8" Ford Explorer rear axle with 3. 73 gears. limited slip. and disc brakes. The car stops as well as a modern car does. and has 18" aluminum wheels off of a 2010 Dodge Charger. The car is equipped with a dual Flowmaster exhaust. an Edelbrock 650 carburetor. Edelbrock aluminum intake. K&N air cleaner. and a mild cam. Thanks to these upgrades. the car has substantially more power than a normal 318 equipped Dart. as well as a nice loping idle (nothing radical. it idles very well even when cold). The biggest and best upgrade. in my opinion. was the rear disc brake conversion and addition of a limited slip. The car spins both tires very easily.
I have taken excellent care of the car in the time that I've owned it. and honestly haven't driven it as much as I should. The car fires right up every time I take it out. and runs very strong. I haven't had any issues with overheating or running hot. even in San Diego stop-and-go traffic. Vehicle is sold as-is. where-is. with no warranties expressed or implied. I will coordinate with the buyer to help arrange shipping. but shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the buyer. The vehicle is listed locally. I reserve the right to end the auction at any point.
