VOLVO 121 AMAZON

Volvo Amazon 121. 1968. 2-door single carb version. I bought this stunning car in November. it had an MOT until July and was presentable but I wanted to tidy it up. so I had it restored for 4 months over the Winter by Bowron Motorcare in Flaunden. Hemel Hempstead. I didn't plan on spending so much on it but got carried away! It had both rear arches and lower rear quarters replaced. new lower door skin as well as other various bits of welding. new rubber seals all round and a re-spray in the original colour. All the parts and panels replaced are top quality from Brookhouse Volvo.  The colour is a very subtle Blue. but appears White in most light. The code is 95-1. 'Ice Blue' according to Volvo which was a very rare colour from my understanding only available on the Amazon in 1968. New  '121' wing badges and wider  5. 5J wheels from Brookhouse Volvo. these are the only un-original exterior parts. the hubs are original. New Firestone tyres. It's very clean and all original inside too with the exception of the fully functioning period Blaupunkt radio which looks the part. No rips and the dash top does not have the usual cracks from sun damage. The only exterior part which could do with replacing or restoring is the front bumper corner sections as the Chrome is faded and has seen better days. but only under close inspection. The back is fine in my opinion.

The Engine is the B20 version and has covered 125. 00. so just run in! With old MOT's to prove the mileage. It's extremely reliable. I have been using it daily as my sole car for the last 6 months and have covered about  3000 miles in that time. With regular 170 mile round trips to Suffolk from St Albans it has never let me down. It also has Overdrive which works great and makes it much more user friendly on the motorway.  

Original owners manual in original wallet.  Loads of service history. paperwork. service books and general information books on the 120 series. Plus lots of spares; Grills. the original wheels. gearbox. cylinder head. twin SU carbs and manifold. chrome trim etc.

It had it's MOT yesterday 25th July with one or two advisories which I will be having sorted next week.

Previous owner had owned this car for approx. 20 years.

I love this car. it turns heads wherever it goes and always gets comments. I'm only VERY reluctantly selling as my circumstances have changed and I need money for a house.
