Here is my Benny the 1969 Beetle! Unfortunately I am having to sell him due to a new job where I take my dogs with me. and thats not a great idea in a Classic Beetle as nice as Benny!!

He has always started first time even in the freezing cold weather we have had recently!

The first drive I did in him was from Newcastle to Northampton. Benny never spluttered once and it was a super hot day! I've done a few shows in Benny and travelled some right old distances in him with no problems.

As far as I am aware this is a U. S spec beetle bought by an American service man from Wolfsburg. then exported to the states. I have the original service book and loads of other documentation.

Loads of rare factory options including:

IRS Rear suspension

Factory Sunroof (with no leaks!)

1500 engine

front and rear kamei parcel shelf's

padded dash(see pics)

factory black and silver headlining

factory tweed seats.

Over the last 2 years she has had:

New heater channels

new floor pans

cb performance lowered beam

Replacement steering box

New Rear drums and shoes

New ball joints

a full rewire

hand polished and aged 4. 5 and 5. 5" staggered brms

new carpets

a full engine and gearbox overhaul

New spax shortened shocks on the front and uprated rears

Full paint job in the original savanna beige

The underside has been under sealed and the inner arches are all stone chipped and painted body colour. the interior floors have been painted satin black

Also the beetle has been given a full engine service with new leads. plugs. dizzy cap. rotor arm. oil in the last 600 miles

In the last 6 months she has also had:

New GT exhaust

Peddle rubbers

Quick shift kit

J tubes

Gearstick boot

Handbrake boot

And a fantastic ivory 64-71 steering wheel.

The only real "bad point" is due to stupidly insuring the car on a multicar policy the beetle is classed as a category C after a very very minor bump. The only damage to the car was the bonnet. The bug flew through its VIC test. We have full photos of the so-called damage it should have never been class C!
