1970 Plymouth Road Runner 2 Door Hard Top

1970 Plymouth Road Runner. All original car with the exception of a cheap paint job about 25 years ago. Does not run but turns over. #'s matching Engine and Transmission. A true Garage find. Get it running and drive as it is!
I bought this car from the estate of the owner that has owned it  since about 1980. It has been parked in a garage at his mothers home since 1994.
The car retains its original 383 and 4 speed transmission as verified by me. I visually have looked at the partial VIN on the engine and transmission. The engine pad stampings are as follows. F 383. which is 1970 383. and the casting date of 8/21 the car was built on 8/27 as per the original fender tag. and "HP" is also stamped on the pad for High Performance. The last nine digits of the vin are stamped on the block and the transmission where they should be. Also the last few digits are stamped on the trunk lip (see picture). The radiator support has been replaced and there are no numbers on there. The engine was out at one time. and as  the pictures show. it was painted incorrectly black under the hood. Obviously the support was damaged and replaced. The vin tag on the dash is present and has correct rivets. The fender tag is original and is a Lynch Road built car. No build sheet. This is the real deal here.
The car is code FE5 bright red. and has the deluxe black and silver trimmed interior. It is still red but repainted very poorly in the late 80's. The car is way above average condition. Rust is minimal. Frame rails are good as well as the rear bumper attachment area. Rockers fender inner hood is all very solid. The trunk center is weak. The extensions look good. There has been work to the wheel well lip area. The rear window area is awesome. There are a couple of small holes in the  front floor pans. not real bad. again above average. All chrome and trim are there and in good shape.
The interior is above average. Mice did get in a bit. but not terrible. The seats are still soft and the material is very nice. There are 3 spots on the rear seat where mice made holes. The rest of the back seat is so nice and original I planned on just patching those holes. The front seat is outstanding. The dash is nice. The door panels are nice. The headliner needs replaced as well as the carpet.
I'm not sure what wheels came on this car from the factory as it had Keystones on it when I bought it. I put a set of 69 Roadrunner wheels on it with non radial narrow wall white walls. In the picture it shows a keystone mag. that will be replaced with the other rally wheel.
The engine has headers on it as well as an after market intake. and other performance 90's options. The car has an air grabber hood but I don't believe it's an air grabber car. I do have the oval breather and lid as well as the dual snorkel breather. I have installed a new gas tank and sending unit. The car will come with a battery.
To sum it up. I have a very desirable car here. A Bright red Black interior Number Matching 383 and 4 speed Road Runner. Other than a Hemi or a 6 Barrel car. I don't think it gets any better! This car is begging to be restored by that right person. I thought I was that person but I'm not. It deserves the best in which I don't have the ability. I prefer to buy them done. Get it running and drive it as it is!
