1971 VOLKSWAGEN KARMANN GHIA

Priced to sell. solid car

Welcome to the sale of my  1971 Karmann Ghia (called “burfi”). With six owners since 1989. he is a reliable car. could  be used as a daily driver. with 10 months M. O. T and tax (tax exempt). It has had no welding and does not require welding of any sort.

Two tone white over green with a clean black interior.

Mechanically. this is car is golden and doesn't disappoint. Total engine rebuild just finished. runs great. just being run in gently . the floorpans  have been replaced by previous owner also the braking system renewed alongside solid heater channels . this car is a smooth runner

The interior is very clean with new carpets being fitted and recently re-upholstered interior in black with no rips or tears present. However the only criticism would be that the headliner. (although free from rips and holes) is showing a few signs of age but is nothing major and the corners of the doorcards are a little scuffed (due to the low seating position. )

He has also had new bumpers fitted and new chrome wheels . tyres and  hubcaps.

Now with some of the bad bits as expected with any car of this age. although it is sound mechanically the body work could do with some tlc. The paintwork is ok. nbsp;it was resprayed four/five years ago. . not the best. but not dull in any way! It looks great. if you really get close you will see some overspray. The nosecone is solid. valances too.

Dont let the price fool you. its priced to sell. and its a rock solid car. This car only requires a some tlc( reflected in the price) but once sorted. you will be onto a real stunner! I have enjoyed this car  and will be sad to see it go but  less space and younger son recently passing his test means burfi must go.

History folder including the original German logbook. MOT certs. etc.
