Simply the Best Volkswagen Beetle

I started with the most desirable of all classic VWs. The 1967 Beetle. I say this because it has the larger engine. 12 volt electrics. upright headlights. and it's the last year of the metal dashboard. Both the mechanical and body shop with whom I've spent lots of time and money with agree that this is the most mechanically fit and physically the most rust free vintage VW they have ever seen. It's been garage kept seemingly forever. accident free. and IT SHOWS. When you start with the best. add the best bits. you end up with a no compromise result. That's what is represented here.  

BODY:

Accident free. except the driver's door was dented in storage. therefore replaced. Then the car was de-trimmed. thoroughly prepped. and sprayed with a two stage base coat. clear coat by Sikkens. The color is Viper Red and it was expertly applied. Then all new rubber gaskets as well as new tail light lenses and headlights were installed. All new chrome trim was added as well as a new windshield and rear glass. Then hand painted pinstripe accents were added old school style. The interior was also re-sprayed Savannah Beige. The result is a knockout combination that turns every head and often gathers a crowd.  

INTERIOR: 

Hard to believe but aside from the custom touches. it is 100% original. I'm talking seats (driver's has been professionally rebuilt. but wears original cover). carpets. headliner. door panels. etc. and it looks near new.  

ENGINE:

100% stock except for new hose. engine belt. 009 performance distributor. header. and transistorized ignition.

I'm sure there's more. but you get the picture.

A radio and speakers came with the car with the radio hung under the dashboard. I didn't like the way it looked. so it has been removed. Both radio and speakers come with the car. the wires are there. and it's easy to hook back up.

When you turn the key. the engine starts instantly. The idle is even and there is no start up smoke. The engine is as eager as when it was new. Since the brakes. transmission. and tires are new. the driving impression instills confidence which belies most cars this age.  

All the hard parts are done. The easy part is up to you. You need to know that I'm a perfectionist. that my rating is well deserved. and that there are no nicks. dents. scratches. or excuses. This car looks twice as good in person as it does here. Ante up. you know you want it.
