1968 Jaguar E Type OTS Euro Spec -Triple carb. Series 1 and 1/2

Chassis number 1E17769 - Carmed Red with Black over Black. as per HERITAGE.

This car has full known history from day1. It was acquired in 1968 in Germany from a USA High Officer with Euro Spec (so triple carb

and toggle switch. ) with Carmen Red color with Black interior and Black soft top as a Weekend driver car.

After his services in Europe. nbsp;the car was converted to Usa spec to be imported and repainted in a slightly darker color similar to Claret Red.

The car remains with the same owner in Usa untill 2008 when was reimported in Italy and was the subject of minor recommissions to be driven.

It was later acquired in 2010 from the actual owner (me) and a FULL NUT AND BOLT RESTORATION was carried to original factory specification

with a 5 years period and really a lot of bills.

METAL WORK:

The car has been completely disassembled and all the paint removed. The shell was in excellent conditions but the floors were changed as the German salt had it corroded during the early years. All panel gaps where checked and the car is now perfect with no rust or bondo. A professional 2 stage paint job was carried and the car has the correct factory finish of his Carmen Red.

ENGINE:

It has been disassembled and new MAHLE pistons and liners installed. including every nut and bolt new or as new conditions. All the works carried from a workshop with Jaguar experience of more than 30 years. The original triple carb setup remains with the car so we reinstalled and reconverted it to the original Euro spec.

SUSPENSIONS:

All rebuilt front suspensions and rear axle. with brakes. rubbers. disks. hoses. new stainless steel exhaust. new Dunlop wire wheels. and everything like new.

INTERIOR:

It was nice and previously correctly redone. so we cleared carefully and installed a new custom made carpet.

DASH was hacked for a later square switch conversion but luckily the original early toggle switch panel was kept so was reinstalled.

WIRING: The wiring is completely new. as the original. including bonnet and dash.

ALL THE PARTS had been bought from SCPARTS. SNG BARRATT. ANGLOPARTS and we have in excess of 40. 000euros of bills in parts alone.

ONLY 1500 DRIVING MILES THIS SUMMER ALL OVER THE EUROPE. it's selling just to fund a new bigger home so very sadly this jewel has to go.

It's really a perfect tight driving car. WITH NO FAULTS.
