1980 Porsche 911 for sale
Current customer rating:
Up for sale is my SC project. Selling because im burnt out on it and have lost interest. I bought it about two years ago. Its not a purist car and is not suitable for a stock restoration.
The car was originally a targa. I had every intention of racing the car and grafted in the coupe roof. myself. A half cage was welded in as well. Ive been a fabricator for 20 years. The roof looks great with no indication of it being a targa. The body is straight and in good condition. There was rust repair done in the battery tray by the po. It will need the final finishing work completed and resprayed then reassembled. The car was orginally parked due to a broken head stud. It was taken to a mechanic somewhere in NY and they never repaired it and the owner never paid the bill for dissassembly. After 7 years of sitting at the shop. it went under mechanics lien. After that it went to auction. The buyer never completed the necessary paperwork to issue a new title. The car sat a few more years. then he sold it to a friend. That friend flipped to to one of my friends and I bought it from him. Theres still no title for the car. but I have all the original documentation on the car from the original owner. to the mechanics lein. to the auction and will gladly provided a Noterized bill of sale on the car. The car comes with it original engine and 915 trans. The trans is complete and the engine is too. but the engine was dissassembled. It would need a complete rebuild. but everything is there and is in serviceable condition. Meaning a through cleaning and replacing of wear items ie: bearing and seals. should put you right where you need to be. Theres no CIS but instead replaced in favor of the 3. 2 carrera efi system. I had planned to build a hi-comp NA track monster. Theres several possibilities being the 3. 0. All the guages are present along with the original keys. Theres no interior. RS carpet and door panels would be ideal. I also have a collection of various vintage 911 parts that are included. The 996 bumpers in the pic are sold and will not be included. All the rest will. Trim pieces. trans cases. fog lights. interior pieces etc etc. The turbo twist are NOT included in the sale either. Their just mocked up for the picture. Cup 1 wheels(SC FITMENT) are included. 17 x 9 x 8. One complete shell with fiberglass carrera tail Front and rear RUF CTR style bumpers 2 drivers doors. 2 passenger doors 4 window frames 2 left 2 right All side and rear glass. no windshield Complete engine. Crank. case. pistons and cylinders. eads. cam towers. fan/alt. oil coolers. tensioners etc etc. several NOS bearings and seals are included as well. Complete 915 trans. Shifts thru all gears and had clean fluid in it. It is in good usable condition Complete original suspension with all the brakes. A large collection of parts from various years. Also i have a pair of recaro seats ill include if reserve is met.
Its mostly complete for build and will make an amazing weekend outlaw car or full out track car if you please. I can deliver the car for a extra fee. please inquire if thats of interest. Please remember this a 36 year old car. It is a project. but the end results will be amazing. Car sold as-is where is and if you have any additional questions please feel free to ask! Happy bidding!
