1980 MGB ROADSTER IN BLACK WITH FRESH MOT READY TO DRIVE AWAY

1980 MGB Roadster 1. 8 Rubber Bumper Model
4 Speed Manual with Overdrive
Everything works as it should including all the electrics and switches!
Original Radio Cassette player with aftermarket JVC speakers
Fresh MOT till 15 th Sept 2017. All it needed was a tiny plate on the sill and the exhaust welding due to a crack!
Fresh Service including Oil and Filter. Spark Plugs. Fuel Filter. Quick Set up and balance of Both Carburettors but will require a proper tune up ideally!
New Crankcase Breather Pipes and Brand New Battery just fitted!
Lovely Black paintwork with the exception of the Boot lid which has been previously painted with aerosol cans which has reacted and thus will need the boot lid repainting professionally and refitting/tweakingas it is sits a little proud on one side! Will require new boot seal as the one in the car is wrong/too thick!
The car was originally white out the factory and has at some point in its life been repainted Black! Logbook is present and states Black but the paint code on the chassis tag identifies it as white!
10 Former keepers and the last owner had it since April 2011 but after the MOT ran out it remained neglected in the garage! The owner is one of my regular customers hence I purchased it off him earlier this month and have now given it a new lease of life!
I have carried out all the work mentioned above and the car is now ready to be driven and enjoyed by an enthusiast or simply tidy it up and make it perfect once again. ! The car starts and drives perfectly with no problems or leaks. I have cleaned and polished the paintwork to bring it back to really good shine but I have left the underbonnet pretty much as I found it in terms of cleaning it as didn't really want to spray water over any of the electrics or engine parts. however i did give it a good blowing over with my airline and cleaned out all the lovely cobwebs!
The mileage is showing as 15880 miles but cannot guarantee if it is genuinely low or has done over 100 k!Unfortunately there is no service history or any previous paperwork with the car.

The roof has been previously replaced at some point and is in very good condition overallbut will require a bit of attention to the area where it meets the windscreen as the seal is not 100% perfect!The original roof is in the boot along with a few spare parts which include a spare mirror and a rear shock absorber and a few other small bits and bobs!
Bad points! It is 36 years old at the end of the day!
Small Bit of rust next to both front headlights on the lower wings and a tiny bit around one of the rear roof hook by the boot lid!
2 Small tears in the Dashboard vinyl above the glovebox! Centre Armrest lid catch tab is broken!
Boot carpets are missing and also the drivers footwell carpet is missing but has a floor mat in place for now!
Rear scuttle/ roof panel trim around the edge will need to be glued back on or replaced!
All in all this is a very good solid usable example which requires very little doing to it to make mint again considering its actually older than me! lolz!
Any Inspection Welcome! Viewing Highly Recommended! Car will be put on a ramp so the underneath can be viewed and checked!
