Seller's notes: In excellent condition with some professional welding underneath and a slight craze in the wooden facia There is a slight fluid drip from the engine that is very minor. Other than that the car is in excellent condition with no rust, stone chips or scratches.

1963 SUNBEAM RAPIER BRONZE for sale

I purchased this car a year ago with the intention of having a first class classic for long term showing. We had always enjoyed roof off driving and my wife relinquished her Mercedes Kompressor for a firms car. I have now purchased an 1971 MGB so have the best of both worlds. Hence Tommy has to go.

 

He was purchased from a superb mechanic who after buying him did the following upgrades to make a completely reliable classic. >>>>>>

New Headlights. nbsp; re-cored radiator. new hoses. new water pump. fan belt. thermostat. dynamo. starter motor. control box. electronic ignition. electronic fuel pump. new battery.
New cam shaft. followers. timing chain and tensioner. electric washers fitted. stainless wiper arms and blades.    Font brake callipers. discs. pads and flexi hoses.   front suspension
re bushed with poly bushes. new front  shockers. new master brake cylinder. and clutch master cylinder.    New rear brake cylinders. drums. shoes and flexi hose.
Rear axle seals replaced. (big job took over 20 tons pressure to get old ones off which destroyed the bearings as well)  new rear shockers. new tyres including spare.    Set of original tools sourced.
seats re upholstered. There's probably more if I remember them I'll send later.

The car has 5 virtually new cross ply tyres. A stainless steel exhaust. It has working overdrive. I added the following a full professional re-spray in the original colour.  I viewed the job when the car was rubbed down and found no evidence of filler. I also fitted white wall inserts on all five tyres.

There is a working radio and a battery operated clock on the dash.

He was given an MOT last month with four advisories which I had rectified on arrival of the new wheel bearing gaskets.  

The insurance valuation is £6. 000 although I think that is very conservative and could have been higher.

The log book shows 6 previous owners and I believe that the majority were in the same family.

The car is at Winsford in Cheshire and can be test driven or viewed. Being taxed and MOT'd it can be driven away.

No Pay Pal in this case. Payment by cash or a cheque which will clear before taking the car. I will not put a reserve on the car.
