Volkswagen Baywindow Bus Type 2 Westfalia Late Bay Camper Van

Volkswagen Bay Window camper van priced to sell 
LHD German import! Just went straight through its mot on the 28th of  May 13 with no advisories. Was taxed on the 1st of June for 6 months 

1 UK owner up until last year when we bought her.

Has had alot of work done over a few months and some lower panels have been replaced. was blown over a while ago and its been done well but its got a few blemishes coming through but nothing major. ew rear lenses and front lights replaced with RHD of units.

The engine use to be a 2. 0L fuel injected engine but this was removed with the gearbox prior to us getting it

Now she runs a completely rebuilt 1600 Type 1 engine and 1600 bay window gearbox which i have just drained of oil and poured in some fresh EP 90. new clutch and flywheel also new heads from the engine shop with all new valves etc. new starter motor from VW Heritage. all new seals and all new dizzy and points etc Tinware was all powder coated in black. im using J tubes instead of Heat Exchanger's as i was going to put in a diesel heating unit. also now running a completly stock baywindow air filter set up instead of the chrome filter in the pictures. It has currently only done 200 miles on this engine but I will be driving in the coming weeks to try and get the miles up so I can change the oil and reset the tappets.

The rear brakes are to be overhauled this week sometime with new drums. hoes and all springs. olts. adjusters and brake cylinders.
The fuel gauge stopped working so I removed the clocks to trace the wires back but in doing this I now don't seem to have my main beam or indicator lights on the dash but the fuel gauge works !!!!!! But I think it's an earth I've pulled off somewhere.
The interior is orignal and its even got the og seat covers!!!!! og curtains are a little faded The bus has a turret top roof which is in good working order and has its original canvas

We have replaced the wooden floor in the bus as a window was leaking and it made it damp. the rock n roll bed works fine and the fridge/cool box unit and cooker was cut about by the previous owner to create more room which works but is not pretty but functional
The original headlining is coming away and it still has the original boards in the back but the front was chopped for the sunroof so it really needs to be trimmed. if i get time i will do this.

Its a stock bus with stock wheels and very good tyres that are correctly rated for the van.  I have a fair few bills for the bus and it will be. im not in a hurry to sell. any questions please ask via email. im happy for you to come take a look.

It has a few factory options such as the extended front bumper and spare wheel enclosure on the front. and it had a gas winter heater system now removed but controls still in place.

It has a side step fitted under the sliding door. the rear sliding track cover in the pictures is white as its new but will be painted by the weekend.

At some point someone fitted a sunroof to the van which works well.

Has a stereo fitted with big speakers and an amp under the seat. not tested !

Its not an expensive van. it's worth the asking price. Please remember that this bus is 36 years old. its solid in all the right places and its bright and clean but it could be improved upon. hence why its not up for £25k or more
You are welcome to look over the old girl with prior arrangemenate other near Sevenoaks or Brighton but at the weekends as i work long hours during the week.
