1968 Chevrolet Camaro Fully street legal 8 second drag carTax exempt MOT 05/17 Fully comp insurance was £190 last year This camaro is the ultimate street car. fast and furious!  This massive big block race engine produces in the region of 800hp. with the nitrous it is over 1000hp. This is one of the most powerful. quickest cars on the road today. it will out accelerate a Bugatti Veyron and an F1 car. it will eat ferrari's for breakfast and spit Lamborghini's out after dinner and makes GTR's look a little bit silly! It will accelerate from 0-150 in under 9 seconds. 0-60 in less than 2 seconds. It has a full original interior with the addition of bucket seats. harnesses and a roll cage. There are numerous extra gauges and controls to keep an eye on things including a large tach with shift light. AFR gauge which also collects data you can download and nitrous button on the shifter. This car has NOT been mini tubbed so it can be put back to orginal condition. making it more valuable than the cut about ones. The roll cage door bars have been cut out to make it easier to get in and out for road use. I would suggest getting some removable ones welded in if you want to race it. The previous owner raced this car very successfully and won multiple RWYB. ultimate street car and outlaw street championships over the past 5 or so years. It comes complete with a parachute to slow you down at the big end. The engine was tuned and assembled by Shafiroff race engines in the states. it is mated to a bomb proof Rossler TH400 3 speed automatic transmission with a manual valve block so you shift gear yourself. To slow yourself down from 150+ there are Willwood discs and calipers on all 4 corners connected to a manual willwood master cylinder with a line lock fitted to the front brakes to enable meaty burnouts. The car is running an original front subframe with springs and shocks set up for racing. this car is not built for the Nurburgring. it has been set up to go in a straight line with shims to increase caster. this can easily be changed if needed. The rear suspension has been set up with adjustable coilovers and rose jointed ladder bars to keep a Strange Engineering axle under control with a Detroit Locker providing ultimate traction. The car is running 275/60/15 tyres. the biggest 'small tyre' to keep the car in class. It comes with a pair of 15 x 10 Centreline wheels and a pair to match the front wheels with a little less offset to keep the tyres inboard. Up the business end there is a Dart Big M 540ci race block. fed by a Pro Systems carb through Dart Pro 1 CNC heads. then it is spiced up with an Induction Soulotuons direct port nitrous kit. The engine is running a vacuum pump to help with ring seal and an Accu Sump oil accumulator to help keep everything safely lubricated when it hits 7000 RPM. This car has been built with racing in mind. but with a few alterations it would calm it down a bit and make it more suitable for the road. I have done a 100 mile trip with no problems at all. but with a smaller carb and cam I could have reduced my fuel bill significantly. At best I would say you can get 10-12 mpg. dropping to not much at all! The paintwork has suffered a bit due to the vibrations. there are some cracks that have opened up. Ideally it could do with a respirator or wrap to make it mint but it scrubs up well as is. Most of the photos were taken on the last outing. There is NO Rust inside or out. this is a very solid car indeed and has only seen rain once in the last 6 years and it has been kept off the road in winter. It is not advisable to try and use this in the wet. there is no heater/blower in the car so the windows will steam up. The heat from the engine keeps you warm enough when it's a bit chilly anyway. The car comes with a few spares and specialist tools and tonnes of paperwork. I have a pair of exhausts that slide on to quieten it down a bit. it sounds like thunder without them. The headers are 2 1/4" into a 4" collector and 6" cherry bomb style silencer with turndowns on the end about half way up the car. full system has another pair of corvette boxes and tail pipes. these can be taken on and off in 10 mins without a jack. I also have a pair of chrome bumpers in ok condition. the ones on the car are fibreglass along with the hood and front panels.  
To sum up. this has got to be one of the meanest muscle cars in the country with beautiful lines and an engine so powerful it will make your face ache. it is the ultimate street car but it's not for the feint hearted and it's not a daily driver. It's not a cut about race car. it is a race prepped street car. It has a race engine tuned for the strip designed to be used in anger. not idling about for hours on end. It has the best of the best bits on it. it has cost over £50k to get it to this point where it can handle the power it produces. The engineering in this car is top quality and has to be seen to be appreciated. It's not a jump in and go type of thing. the start up sequence is quite involved. If your shy this is not the car for you. when people hear it coming they stop. stare and start filming. with the exhausts off the noise sets off car alarms and scares children but you can see almost everyone appreciates this special car.

I do not have the time or inclination for endless demonstrations and stories.   A tilt bed trailer min width of 6ft will be needed for collection. unless your local of course! This car has 45mm ground clearance so will only go on a tilt bed trail. not a beaver tail or car transporter.
