A clean. sound and correct example. in smart condition. very nicely finished in black. with original blue/grey leather. complimented by new carpets and headlining. both done to a very high standard. Within the last few years. something in the region of £25. 00 to £30. 00 has been spent on the car. including interior refurbishment. new stainless steel exhaust. new manifolds. gearbox overhaul. chroming. brakes. paintwork. etc. etc. all good quality work. Most tools included. as well as a decent history file. Thoroughly recommended. being a practical. useable car. easy and enjoyable to drive. keeps up well with modern traffic. comfortable. spacious. and relaxed for long journeys too. Good value for money.

Snippets: Crabb's Abbey & Auchenkyle
B 141 WG was delivered to R D Carter. a landowner whose property was named after Crabhouse Abbey – The Crabhouse Cartulary. a record of events at the Priory from its founding in the late 12 th century through to its dissolution during the reign of Henry VIII.
In 1782 the estate of the Manor of Crabb's Abbey consisting of 618 acres. stabling for 18 horses. barns. detached offices and a good farm house was put up for auction due to the owner being in an “insolvent situation”.
Within 18 months B 141 WG is shown on the chassis cards as having moved to Scotland having been acquired by William Fraser of Auchenkyle. Troon.
Auchenkyle was built in 1905 for James Anderson by John Archibald Campbell. James Anderson was an early motorist as in 1907 he asked J. A. Campbell to design a “Motor Car House” for him.
William Fraser Snr was the founder & chairman of Scottish Cables Ltd. upon his death in 1958 his nephew William Fraser assumed the role of Chairman and in 1969 was awarded CBE for his services to export.
The estate of Auchenkyle was not sold by the trustees of William Fraser Snr until ten years after his death.
A later owner of B 141 WG resided at Strathairly House in Fife – which was immortalised in a poem by Dinah Craig (1826/87) “Strathairly – Coming Hame”.
