This is by a long way the nicest 2+2 we've ever had. In the stunning colour combination of silver with red hide. nbsp;this Jaguar really is a delight. We bought it via an agent from a elderly lady who had worked her whole life at Holywood film studios. and had owned the car from 1975 making her the second owner. Used very sparingly over the decades. as she got older. the car was dry stored in her home town of LA for the last 8 years. We bought it and have carefully recommissioned it doing the following work :New water pump New radiator and water pipes Engine serviced and tuned New door and frame seals
The car now runs and drives beautifully. and is a fantastic purchase for anyone wanting a lovely original unrestored car. needing nothing. and ready to enjoy immediately. The paint is in lovely glossy condition. with only a few chips around the car. The car comes with panel gaps that are as they left the factory. one of the best we've seen. The floors. chassis and bodywork is completely free from rust as a dry state US car can be. The rear wheel arches are as factory. with their original spot welds. and no rot at either corner. as can so often be the case. The interior is stunning. with just one small split on the passenger bolster. hardly noticeable. Original carpets are in as new condition. The engine and mechanics are excellent. no knocks and nasty noises anywhere. the engine sounds as quiet as a 28k mileage engine should. We have sold well over 50 xke this year. we price our cars to sell. exceptionally low mileage E-Types in this condition are very rare. but I have still priced this car very reasonably. you should expect to pay at least another 10/15k from one of the main dealers like CMC or Peter Jarvis. The car will be sold with a fresh MOT. all duties are already paid. with the car ready to UK register. which I will help the purchaser do. it takes 7-10 days.
