1947 Lincoln Continental Club Coupe ***NO RESERVE***

This 1947 Lincoln Continental Club Coupe features its original V 12 engine. restored less than 1000 miles ago. It must have been a Sunday go to meeting car. It runs so smooth you can hardly tell its running at all. Both the interior and exterior. even the hubcaps and wide white wall tires are in great shape. The body is perfect with no dings dents bondo or rust. There are a few very small chips where the hood has touched the body. The trunk is very clean. The mohair like interior has no stains or tears or fading. Beautiful interior chrome and transparent red steering wheel! We bought the car 10 years ago and have only drove it for 197 miles! That's not to say it hasn't been started and maintained regularly.

That has been performed on a regular basis. It has been stored inside a garage and covered with a slip when not in use. When we bought it the previous owner had replaced the hydraulic power window cylinders. the fuel sending unit. factory clock. wipers. interior light. exterior lights. all gauges. factory signal search radio with floor button. under seat heaters and windshield defroster and they all work! There is some discoloration on some of the glass only going about an eighth of an inch. The engine compartment is very clean and detailed. This car is a real head turner. The only modern upgrade to this beauty is a stealth AM/FM CD player mounted discreetly below the dashboard. Two low profile speakers sit on the rear shelf. The unit is powered by a 12 volt battery located in the trunk. The entire audio system was designed to be flawlessly removed. leaving no trace of installation. hence the stealth designation. As a note. the prior owner before we bought it loved this car so much he named it Earl.

The negative: Two rips in the front seat. The hydraulics windows need to be tinkered with to go back up. The hydraulic pump is working.

This 1947 Lincoln Continental has been sitting in a climate controlled private show room with a collection of cars. The collection of cars had a mechanic that kept everything in order. The owner of the collection has passed on and the mechanic relieved of his duties. That is the reason for the sale of this rare beauty.
