1978 SILVER ANNIVERSARY CORVETTE.

RARE FACTORY 220 HORSE L82 WITH MANUAL BOX.

This car has history virtually from day one. Warranted only 43. 00 miles from new with all Stateside mileage declarations as well as every mot since importation to in 1989. This car has had one elderly owner for the last 14 years who has only parted company with the car now as it is so seldom driven. This really is a time warp Corvette with absolutely all numbers matching. and boy. what a spec.

INTERIOR.         Code matching Light Beige Leather. Absolutely superb and not restored. The original seats are stunning as are the door cards. the dash. the carpets. the console. the handbrake surround and every other piece inside this time warp example. The full dash complement of gauges perform as they should. as do the vanity lights. The steering wheel is still virtually as new as are all the seat belts and rear compartment lids etc. The original t-top storage bags are still in the car as well has the hold down straps. The original factory radio/cassette is still installed and it operates well including the automatic electric aerial. Both electric windows shoot straight up & down with no rattles and they both seal well. in fact everything about the interior is as you'd expect from such a well cared for low mileage example.

EXTERIOR.      Code matching Corvette Mahogany. the paintwork throughout can only be described as superb. I would say that the weatherstrips are all original and they're all in very good order. Both headlights lift & close together as they should and both have had recent seals and actuators. The factory alloys are in stunning condition and are shod with a matching set of P255/60/15 Coopers. all about 6 to 7mm.   The centre caps to the wheels as well as all the lug nut are as new. The complete exhaust has been replaced with a full system by Pipecraft. All the spare-wheel well is perfectly in place and the complete frame and underside really are the finest you'll see.

MECHANICS.   The L82 engine is obviously number matching and the whole bay simply is one of the best you'll find. un-messed with and just as it left the showroom. All ducting and radiator shrouding is still in-situ right down to the cover over the dizzy. The brake system has recently been fully overhauled including stainless callipers. new rotors front & rear as well as new flexi pipes at both ends of the car. The clutch is light and the original shifter is still in place.

This really is a time warp example. warranted 43. 00 miles only with history from new.   Both original sets of keys are still with the car and rare indeed to find a number matching 220 horse L82 and with the manual box as well. The car is on the key. starts first time and is a superb driver. As well as the last 24 or so mot's. the car has just passed a fresh one ready for the new owner. This car has not been owned by a CCCUK member and neither has it been seen at a show that I know of. so you'll be the first!

FIRST £10. 00.     I could quite easily have listed this car at several thousand more. nbsp;BUT I SELL CORVETTES.
