Up for auction is a 1970 Plymouth AAR Cuda dressed in original EV2 TORRED paint. This is an original AAR. which still has 70% of it's original paint and almost all it's original sheetmetal. This is a very unique AAR since it is an original radio delete car.
This car was drag raced about 30 days after being purchased and was run untill 1974 when it was pushed into a garage and stored untill 2009 when we pulled it out. Original owner changed car to a 4 speed but original numbers matching automatic comes with the car. Car currently has that 18 spline hemi box still in it. with a blow-proof bellhousing . a correct AAR aluminum bellhousing comes with car. Car currently has a correct AAR pistol grip shifter (not a repro) which was shelved early on in it's life which now is very tight. and shiftes very well due to not being used untill recently. Shifter could almost be called NOS. Rear gears are 3:91 ratio sure grip. housing springs. sway bar. brakes are all original.
As mentioned above. car was raced since purcahsed. and supposedly the orignal block was hurt.  After some research. I was told that the original block is in a TA or AAR in New Jersey. It may still be out there. I will give the new owner the leads that I have. The car currently has a 1969 340 short block with 12. 5:1 cr. big solid mechanical cam. nbsp;with the original TA heads. intake. carbs. oil pan. timing cover. air cleaner etc which was the cars original equipment. The unstamped TA warrantee block comes with the car as well. but unfortunately it froze back in the day and cracked the water jacket in the lifter valley. I have been told by many people that this can be fixed. nbsp;just have not had the time to do so. This block is what replaced the orignal block and has to stay with the car.  I have the original exhaust manifolds. a complete automatic transmission tunnel with shift mechnism. the original console. gas tank. master cylinder. brake booster. dual point distributor. jack. SPACE SAVER spare with inflator bottle and other misc parts that all come with the car.  The only parts I can tell I am missing off this car is the idle stop solenoid and bracket.  Not pictured is the original brushed trim rings and center caps - they also come with the car.

The car is wearing 70% of its original paint. I repainted the red on the front fenders and the lower right quarter. The lower right quarter has been replaced and a new AMD left quarter comes with the car so that the small bit of corrosion on the left quarter can be fixed. The other spot of rust I can see is on the lower right corner of the rear window. other than that. floors. frame. trunk pan are all great. Underisde of car has been cleaned and painted as well as the engine compartiment. Both show well. The orignal paint has been buffed to shine again. but is 40 yrs old and has survived. but is not perfect. The good thing is that it is the original paint - nothing to hide. The rear bumper has been rechromed. the front is the original. The stripes from the doors back are original. front fendres have been replaced. This car is a bit of a time capsule. showing typical racing scarrs. and is a blast to drive as is since they are original only once.

Mechanically the car is sound. Brakes. Fast Ratio Steering. engine. trans are all either rebuilt or in great condition. Suspention was rebuilt as well as brakes to ensure safety and fun cruising. Car runs. stops and turns like is should. Original radiator was recored and car runs nice and cool. even on our hot Florida days. Car still has its orignal fan drive!

I have alot of paperwork with this AAR. The title is clean and clear. I have 2 BULD SHEETS. old registrations. purchase order. speed shop invoices etc. A folder full. The trim tags are present and in good condition as well.

The rims are the orignals and are covered in new TA Radials. As mentioned above. the original space saver spare with inflator. jack and hook all are present.

I resore old Mopars and I cannot bring myself to sand this car down and do a full resto. I rebuilt everything to make this car safe and fun to drive as well as cleaned and repainted as little as possible to make it presentable. I commonly take it to shows with a friends' restored AAR. and I get just as many compliments if not more since it is not restored. This thing is also quite fast and does drink race gas. With the quick ratio power steering. front and rear sway bars. it handles very well. It is a blast to drive!

Car is for sale locally so I reserve to end the auction early. Do not ask for reserve. it is set very reasonably. All funds must clear bank before car will be released. ONLY reason for selling is I have found something else I want to buy. do not have to sell!
