Hi. and welcome to the auction for my 1988 Fiat Panda 750L
This is a very reluctant sale of a rapidly appreciate and very cool little classic. but winter is coming and I don't have indoor storage. nor am I using the poor thing.

The Panda is part of a large collection of Eighties and Nineties classics. and joined the fleet earlier this year for nostalgic reasons. It is identical to the one my mum owned when I was teenager. which was the very first car I drove. right down to its ironically named Racing Red paintwork.

This is an original example. which has spent most of its life being towed behind a motorhome on an A-frame. hence why it has survived rather than go the way of most Panda's and rot away. I have a few bits of history and two keys.

It does have a few bits - there's some rust on one rear arch and some bubbles on the driver's side door bottom. which I've tried to photograph. plus a few other minor dinks. chips and tiny bubbles. while it has also had a very small amount of wleding to the boot floor at some point in the past. Regardless. my MoT tester was astonished when I took it for its test in April. which it passed with no advisories. Underneath. it's superb.

It's tidy on top. too. though being a red Fiat the colour changes a bit in places! It's very shiny and presentable. though - as you see it. basically. All tyres are good and the wheels have been refurbished.

Mechanically. it's excellent. It had a full service in February. along with a new radiator. and it drives brilliantly. Such a hoot providing you keep the revs up.

A previous owner has also fitted a homemade parcel shelf for it (such a luxury was never offered on the 750L). which I'll leave in - but be warned. it doesn't half clonk about. to the extent I leave it out. It comes with a period radio-cassette. though the quality is 'variable'.

Inside. it's basic. The driver's seat has some wear as shown and the ashtray cover is missing. while the bonnet release also requires a 'specialist touch' - training will come on collection. It's tidy and presentable. though. and the inner wing areas on both sides are rot free.

Overall. a bright and charming little thing in good overall nick. I've mentioned the faults I know about so I don't waste your time or mine. the car is overall a little cracker.

Please. no silly offers (I know what Pandas go for these days and this one's pretty cheap). and while I'd rather a straight sale. I'd consider a PX if it helps you out.

I'm gutted to be selling it. to be honest. but my other cars all have some form of sentimental attachment so the Panda must go before that bond has formed. I bought it to relive being 17 again. and I've had my moment. Time to let it go - ideal first classic due to low insurance and road tax.

Any questions. please ask. The car is located in Chatteris. Cambs. and I'm happy to collect you from March. Huntingdon or Ely railway stations if it helps out. or can even deliver locally. Viewing welcome. but I am working away a lot during the period of the auction so won't be available later in the week.
No zero feedback bidders please. and you bid to buy. not to come and have a look. No reserve. highest bid wins
Good luck!
