HISTORY

This Mustang was imported into the UK from Indiana in 1990 and has had two owners in the UK. the last having owned the car for 19 years. before I go any further I would just like to say that this car is a real credit to the last keeper who has kept this car in the amazing condition that it is in today.

When this car was first registered the DVLA issued this car with a 1965 number plate and it states on the V5 logbook Declared Manufactured 1965. however on the original USA paperwork that is with the car and on the official Mustang decoder it is showing as a 1966. the only thing I can think of is that it was manufactured late 65 and not sold from a dealership until early 66 so that could be the reason.

I have every invoice for every penny spent on this car during the last owners ownership totalling £14. 00 and every MOT from 1990 when the car was imported plus copies of the original pink slip and other paperwork relating to this car.

The car has an MOT till 22/07/2017 with no advisories.

The mileage of 108. 03 miles is strongly believed to be correct backed up by the old MOT certificates but not warranted.

Since the vehicle was imported in 1990 it has only covered 18. 38 miles. the last owner acquired the vehicle in 1997 and has only covered 10. 72 in 19 years. during that time the car has always been kept garaged.

BODY & PAINTWORK

Superb. arrow straight panels. perfect panel fit and shut lines. doors. bonnet & boot close perfectly as they should with a nice click.

New bumpers. bright trim. emblems etc have been fitted in the past and look superb.

Paintwork is just stunning. I personally think the nicest shade of metallic blue I have ever seen and is the perfect colour choice for this car. has had older very professional re spray but has no marks and is show quality. looks like it was done last year.

The white hood was fitted a few years ago and is in excellent condition. the plastic rear window is also excellent. bright & clear with no creases.

I have just had the paintwork professionally cleaned. re sealed and polished and the hood cleaned.

The power hood goes up and down quite quickly. not slow like a lot of them and with no problems.

The underside and chassis are very clean. some signs of older welding but all done to a high standard. this is no exception for a 65 Mustang. very rare to find one that has no signs of welding.

Superb 289 V8. runs and drives at it should with no issues. mated to super smooth floor change auto. no clunks when you change to drive or reverse from standstill and changes up and down through the gears without hardly feeling it.

All of the brakes have recently been re newed along with new shock absorbers.

I have to say the brakes are excellent being power assisted in fact it took me the first 5 miles to get used to them as they only require light pressure and will pull the car up very quickly.

All electrics. gauges etc work perfectly. no issues.

Nearly new tyres all round.

Interior

Again. superb. light blue upholstery. lots of new parts over the years including door cards. trim. steering wheel. carpets. hood cover plus more. there is one very tiny nick on the lower back of the drivers seat but hardly noticeable. apart from that excellent.

BAD BITS

Wrong title really as nothing nasty. as I said before the engine runs perfectly but one of the tappets is slightly tappy. previous owner said it has been like it for years and never bothered him. nbsp;on any other car I would just leave it but this car is so nice I find it slightly annoying so I have booked the car into my friends garage who specialises in classic American cars to get it sorted. however he is very busy and cant fit it in for around 4 weeks so I can get it fixed for the new owner or you can get it fixed or do it yourself and I am willing to cover the cost. the only other thing is the air con is not working due to seized pump but I have a second hand pump that I will include and have been told is good.

There is a brand new hood rubber kit and fitting kit that will come with the car. there is nothing wrong with the rubbers on the hood it was just in the boot so I will include it. also a brand new all weather cover that I have just purchased.

 Well that's it. in my opinion having owned various classic cars over 45 years I can honestly say this is one of the very best. yes there are cheaper Mustangs out there and also more expensive ones. as the old saying goes ' you only get what you pay for ' and many of the cars out there need money spending on them. nbsp;this is a rare car having all the factory options listed and is presented in stunning condition.

I am aware that everyone has different opinions regarding condition. all I can say is that I have given an honest description. come and have a look you will not be disappointed.

The car is located 5 minutes from J11/M25. Ottershaw. I have a modern well lit workshop and you can view the car almost anytime other than Sundays unless that's the only day you can view and it would have to be between 9. 30-11am.
