1977 Lincoln Mk V Cartier Edition Lincoln's flagship personal luxury car. the MKV was the largest and best selling of the " Mark" series cars. With its unique chassis. 7. 5 litre 460 CI Police Interceptor V-8 and 4 wheel disc brakes. Motor Trend described the Mk V as "unconstrained American automotive opulence" and wrote that it "projects the image of the driver as an elegant rogue". No modern car provides the sensation of driving this incredibly smooth and powerful boulevard cruiser. This enthusiast owned example is an unrestored original with less than 28. 00 partially documented and believed absolutely correct original miles. The chassis is as clean as the rest of the car and the US Steel stamp on the underside of the fuel tank looks as new. The leather seats are as new. all rubber is soft. glass clear and the original paint is in simply astonishing condition. The transmission shifts smoothly. the a/c blows cold. the radio works (it has the factory built -in CB) and all vacuum controlled accessories such as the headlamp covers and cruise control are in fine order. A Cartier edition. this was the height of American luxury and its presence evokes the last of the great full sized All American car. Recently serviced and ready to go. it would make a fine addition to any collection and is a dependable driver that can be driven anywhere. There can't be many left like this remarkable automobile.
