Im not sure where to start with this car!!!
Im advertising on behalf of a very good friend that has given me use of the car until its sold as he just doesnt ever use it!
As you will see from my profile that im a car enthusiast and like my porsches and Kevin (the owner) was driving one day and his car broke down outside a garage.
And what was on the forecourt? A red targa!!!
Some minutes later and a serious impulse buying. he had some transport home.
However. like all impulse buys. there was a long list of very silly problems which over the last 8 years or so have been done.
Everything that needed doing was done and about the only remaining ones are 1. Targa roof noisy at speed (common fault)
2. Central heating control has a manual overide switches
So. performance!!
Well. if you're about to by one of these. you won't need telling that it has 231 bhp. will do 150 mph + and 60 in circa 6 seconds.
Believe me. I have just sold a lightweight race 964 with 265 bhp having driven both lots. the 3. 2 is far more fun and characterful and furthermore. you cant measure the sub 120 mph performance between them.
(obviously not on road ) )
Im almost tempted to keep it and sell my BMW 123 d which laughably is work more. although supposed to do 150 mph and 6 secs to 60 I wouldn't even consider trying to keep up with the 911 and its no less to run as unleaded is less and the 911 will do 36 mpg + on good runs.

Very little in the way of miles and lots spent at Steve Bull
The car has been in storage for the last 3 years and if you are reading this on or before Friday the 28 th. it is still parked in Steve Bulls having had a minor re-commission. oil change and MOT.
So. it has 12 months MOT and can be taxed if requested.
I will also arrange it to be cleaned to within an inch of its life and put a nice cover on it to keep the sun off the waxed finish.
Why is it cheap??
Well. although the prices for anything classic and 911 is on the increase! The Targa is still not the most desirable and furthermore. this one had a category C damage in its earlier life.
Lets put this into perspective! If the repair was 60% of the trade value. it could be written off.
Lets look into this a little further Porsche parts and labour are VERY high The repair was only
superficial NOT
structural How much work can you do for £6 k on a Porsche? Basically. when the car had a trade value of some £10 k It had £6 k (Porsche prices) of damage to the front and was repaired after the claim.
It is perfect and all of the work is completely untraceable by the specialists that have seen it.
Furthermore. it is reported to be an exceptional drive by Steve Bull Porsche Specialist whom have looked after the car for some years now.
Any trials welcome
