In the 1960's the Lincoln Division was determined to make the finest mass-produced domestic automobiles of its time.

The flagship model Continental was the pinnacle of these efforts and a design and sales success right from the start.

The most recognized feature of the Continental was the rear-hinged "suicide doors" last seen in 1951 Lincolns. The decision to reintroduce the rear-hinged was based on preserving rear-seat access and turned out to be one of the most popular features to this luxury vehicle.

Built originally in Wixom. Michigan this 1966 Lincoln Continental convertible is not a restored classic. but an exceptionally well cared for and maintained original survivor. The 462 cubic inch V 8 is whisper quiet and its Select-Shift Cruise-O-Matic transmission is smooth as silk and effortlessly moves its 5000+lbs with authority.
