Current customer rating:
I purchased the car in 2014. Part's that are new or rebuilt Transmission professionally rebuilt with Fatsco part's major kit# F 102 L-2 I also bought both bands with the kit. New alternator and battery and belt's. Edelbrock 650 avs carburetor with manual choke. water pump. professionally recored stock radiator. new hoses. fuel pump and filter. Pertronix 3 ignition with p 3 45. 00 volt coil and pertronix 7 mm wire's. p 3 ignition relay. new distributor cap. rotor and advance spring's(stock advance rate). new windshield washer pump and bag.
Suspension and chassis: New Eaton Detroit rear leaf spring's and front coil springs including rear dampener's and u-bolt's and front isolator's. stock spring rate. New upper and lower ball joint's. new inner and outer tie rod's. rag link. idler arm. strut arm bushing's. upper control arm bushing's. end link's. inner and outer wheel bearing's. race's and seal's. front and rear brake pad's. front and rear u-joint's. rebuilt steering box from Indiana rack and axle. new steering fluid filter. solid gear box insulator's. new stock style shocks. new starfire tire's. Other: both front and left rear new window motor's. front and rear fitted floor mats with Lincoln logo. Autoloc 60 lb door solenoid's front door's only with 2 remote's. Oil pressure. water temp and fuel gauge mounted on lower dash used existing screw hole's on dash. Fabrication and body: When I purchased the car the gas tank had been poorly brazed to repair pinhole's around the gas tank strap's. after driving it for a short time it started to leak heavily. I took out the tank and found it to be so bad(rusted through around the strap's) that it was un-repairable. I fabricated a mount for a 15 gallon aluminum fuel cell and mounted it in the trunk. the tank is fully vented externally and has a proper fuel return system. When I bought the car it needed the right side lower quarter panel replaced(partial) I replaced with a pre-formed patch panel off of ebay. also the front of both rocker's had hole's about the size of a lemon and I formed patch panel's using the same gauge steel as stock and welded them in place. I removed the bottom rocker moulding and welded the mounting holes. all replacement's were then filled with duraglas filler and skim coated using 3 m finish filler. The car was taken down to bare metal and painted with ppg epoxy. then applied primer (ppg) painted black and clear coated( both ppg).
Previous owner: new front to back dual exhaust system with thrush oval muffler's. New brake lines front to back with new rubber line's. Adjustable brake proportioning valve. Rebuilt caliper's. New fuel line's. He said he had the work done around 2009. Miscellaneous: The carpet and headliner are in excellent condition. The car was garaged in Virginia for most of it's life. it is in very solid condition. It start's fast(once you learn the manual choke). the trans is strong and shift's nicely. The underside still has some original undercoating. and for it's age has very little rust. surface only. I live in Illinois but I have not drove it in the winter or in the rain. I have the original hubcap's ( excellent condition). carburetor (junk). and some trim that i removed. and a passenger side peak trim that I haven't installed. the one on the car has a small dent in it.
