I have owned this lovely MG for over 30 years. The car was refurbished in 1983. but retained all its original major components. body panels etc. It was painted. trimmed and mechanically sorted. The body colour is Almond green. a very attractive early metallic. in beautiful unblemished condition. It has seen light use only over the years. and has spent the last few seasons in dry storage. Just about the only modifications from standard have been the sensible additions of a lead free cylinder head. a Mota-Lita wood rim steering wheel. a chrome luggage rack. aero screens and a slightly higher diff ratio 4. 875 to help open road cruising. The vehicle has a soft and delightful patina and drives very well indeed. This TD has just received a very comprehensive ( and very expensive! ) recommissioning by an extremely experienced MG specialist. and comes with a new MOT and tax disc. Rather a nice MG TD. requiring no further mechanical or paint work. in a condition. very much as it would have left Abingdon in the 1950's

We keep her in the New Forest and she is a delight to drive after sorting the steering rack and distributor faults.

I'd love some history on her because absolutely no paperwork came with her.
We have a few too many classics of the 50's and 60's era and while we acquire them as the mood takes us, we have never sold one!

Hi,
I've been trying to track down GAP 811 for a while, and came across this old advert, I'm hoping this link still works!
This was my late fathers car in the early 1960's, he regretted selling it. and always wanted to see it again, but we never knew the reg number. We recently came across several period photos and discovered the reg number for the first time.
I'd love to track down the current owner, or have my email passed on to them, to have first refusal in the future, and send them copies of the photos if they were interested
