I am selling a Jeep CJ-5 that I did a frame up restoration on in 2003. Original steel body. restored) original OEM Whitco top. Jeep was driven regularly and out in the world for two years when built it. but mostly parked/garaged when the kids went off to college. I have kept everything working. and driven it a bit every few month to keep the Amsoil lubricants stirred. and to help eliminate any possible condensation buildup in components. There are many construction details. some very obvious. others not so obvious. so as listing runs there will be additions to my description as the questions come in. Notably I used a 0 mile new old stock OEM speedo. which is now at 6700 and change since the resto. Every system and component was rebuilt excepting the 1999 4. 3 Gm engine with 78000 miles. retaining every component and the OBD 2 diagnostics. However I did partially disassemble the engine. removed the cylinder heads. oil pan and rear main seal. Nothing was wrong with the engine for me doing that. head gaskets on these engines were known to be problematic so that possibility was eliminated. Although it was very clean inside in spite of the 78000 miles I flushed the intake valley and cleaned the pan. Rear main seal looked fine and did not need replaced. but I did it anyway as a precaution. My intention was to use electric fans so there is no radiator shroud that has ever been fitted. The air conditioning compressor was retained. and vehicle is fitted with a new compressor. ondenser. dryer and lines. stubbed off inside under dash. I will include a rare CJ factory A/C underdash unit I had intended to install.  T-178 Transmision. Dana 300 transfer case. Dand 44 flanged rear fitted with stock 1979 Jeep rotors and wheel studs. pattern drilled and GM metric calipers. New brake system including all hoses was just installed this year. ull stainless lines starting at master cylinder. The body was actually re-paneled as necessary and painted with Imron in the early 90s. In 2003 I had the underside and interior coated with Rhino Lining at their local dealer and it has held very well. The body has imperfections that I did not cover up. nor did I 'doll up' or cover anything for this sale. It has always been kept this clean since built. despite being offroad several times. About a year after construction the right front fender was dented and replaced so the attempted paint match is noticeable under fluorescent light. The color was obtained by painting a base coat of black and finishing with red pearl. The replacement fender was painted with base/clearcoat because Imron was unavailable when I got around to replacing the fender.  Anyone who has owned one of these knows what a problem rust is. and since it has been driven and used. 2 quarter size bubbles can be found on close inspection. which is the extent of actual body defects. excepting wear and tear and a small dent on the hood that was made by a cardboard box. The chrome on the wheels did not wear well. and may or not be obvious in the pictures. I will add pictures to detail these very soon. Tons of new OEM parts were used in construction as my family owned former Jeep dealership (1967-1981) still had a very large inventory of OEM NOS gears. cases bearings etc. Receipts. although I dont have them now totalled well over 19. 00 and I spent 9 months fabricating/assembling/ going OC on practically everything. Vehicle is for sale locally. and I reserve the right to end auction if best offer is local. Thanks for looking ! I will answer questions. and update this listing with extra pictures and details as it runs. I could spend all day going over details as I and only I did all the work excepting paint. Rhino Lining and  . 095 wall roll cage  (done by RCR race cars of TN) Warn 8274 winch has had cable stretched and was used one time to drag a car into my building. Has stainless mirrors. but I removed them because of the aggravating way drivers door hits left side mirror on these vehicles. They will be included. This vehicle was a labor of love and I have held on for years. but time has come to pass it on to someone else who can appreciate it. Price is negotiable of course but lowball. insulting offers will be ignored. It is sold as is with no warranty or guarantee. ther than that my descriptions will turn out to be accurate and true. Please ask questions. I will try to answer them all. posting them as I do.                                                                                                     Of course if not sold locally. buyer will be responsible for shipping. Thanks for Looking!
