The word JEEP means many different things to people all over the world but the one thing that it represents to the world is the United States ingenuity of finding solutions to obstacles (both figuratively and literally).    After World War II the Americans were especially enamored with their Jeeps of which many were sold off as surplus to US citizens.   They quickly realized that they were fine for commercial use but really didn't work for a family vehicle.  

The thinkers at the Jeep Corporation realized this also and in the true American competitive spirit with the other US auto manufacturers. they came up with the Wagoneer.   As the Wagoneer became refined it became the favorite 4-wheel drive American automobile in the 1980s.   Keep in mind that there were no SUVs or crossovers at that time.   To be perfectly honest the Wagoneer was certainly the very first SUV.   The Wagoneers were over compensating for the starkness of the miniature wartime jeep and added luxury features to the wagon that were unheard of on a 4 wheel drive vehicle at that time.

Of course power steering. power brakes. air conditioning and the plushest of interiors with some of the finest fabric and plenty of chrome and synthetic wood trim to echo the pre and post war Woodie station wagons.   To top all of this off the Jeep Wagoneer with its muscular front end and grille and dramatic sculpting of the sides makes a extremely attractive vehicle not only decades ago but still today.

There is a large following of collectors that are into their Jeep Wagoneers and they know that anybody that hasn't driven a Jeep Wagoneer will become enamored with it when they do.  

In reference to the Jeep Grand Wagoneer in this ad. it has been owned by a collector for a few years and he had the car repainted in its original Baltic Blue with polyurethane paint.   The Jeep Grand Wagoneer has always been well cared for and if you take a good look at the photos we think you will agree it looks great.  

The seller has provided the following information about this 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer.   The car has fresh Baltic Blue polyurethane paint. which is the color the Jeep was originally born with.   It is believed that the 81. 00 miles on the odometer are original.   Original leather seats and original carpeting.  

A new larger radiator (metal) was installed.

Tires are only one year old.

Edelbrock manifold and carburetor (original manifold and carb come with vehicle).

After market tachometer.

Floor mats.

Shop Manual.
