1962 GMC 1000 for sale
Current customer rating:
Today I have a really neat 1962 GMC 1000 Pickup up for sale. I purchased it to fix up and tinker with however I have three kiddos who want to be able to ride around with me so it is time to let this one move on to a new owner. This pickup was purchased new in Jacksboro Texas. I obtained it from the estate of the original owner. I currently have the original title that was issued in 1962 and a number of the registration receipts for the truck from the 60's. This truck is in great shape with low miles on the odometer however like all 5 digit odometers I am unable to verify if it has rolled over.
It has a great patina and the body is very solid. almost all the trim is present it is missing one approximately one inch pice from the drivers side right behind he door. All the trim is in great shape with no pitting or rust marks that I have found. I have put a lot of work into this truck over the last year and it runs and drives great. the original big bore GMC 305 V 6 pulls very strongly throughout the RPM range and idles perfectly.
The truck has had the following work done:
New Battery. New Tires. All New brakes. including shoes. soft lines. wheel cylinders and master cylinder.
New clutch slave cylinder. (the clutch master was replaced when the brake master cylinder was replaced)
Complete tune up. (new points. condenser. plugs. plug wires. rotor. coil. etc. )
Bearings repacked.
Clutch and shifter linkages adjusted.
New radiator hoses
New Radiator
New Heater core
New Holley four barrel carburetor
New gas tank.
New electric fuel pump.
All lighting connections cleaned. and bulbs replaced.
It needs very little work to drive as is. it starts every time and runs like a top all the lights function as they should and it is ready to be inspected. This truck would be very easy to restore completely with a little bit of paint and interior work it would finish out very nicely or you can drive it as is. Thanks for looking please
