For sale my MkII Jensen C-V8. I bought this less than a month ago at auction having always wanted one. I've since learned that a move abroad is in prospect so I have either the option of storing the car or of selling it on to someone who will recommission it. It is a nice original car which has not been modified. It was last on the road looking at the tax disc and old MOT in 1985. The bodywork is fibreglass and needs repainting (the original colour is dark carriage green). the interior is in good condition for its age and the leather on the seats is serviceable. The original wheels. bumpers. steering wheel and radio are all present as are all of the difficult to find exterior chromework parts. The Chrysler V8 engine has not been started since storage and will require the heads removing first. The car has covered approximately 53. 00 from new and comes with some old bills and receipts.
C-V8's have gone up in value dramatically in the last two years as an afordable 1960's British supercar in the grand tourer style of the Aston Martin DB5. In its day this was a 142 mile an hour car that cost three times as much as a Mk2 Jaguar. For this reason very few C-V8s were made and this is one of only 200 MkII s.
As I said at the outset I'm advertising to decide whether to store the car whilst I'm abroad or not. I won't give it away and the reserve reflects what I paid for it at the auction. That said if someone is ready to pay the right price I will sell it. The car will be advertised elsewhere so I reserve the right to end the auction early. No timewasters please - if you bid you are doing so to buy and not to negotiate. Car will be sold as seen. Car can be viewed by arrangement in Hitchin Herts.
