Powering this giant 2 door coupe is the original 460 CID V 8 engine. and the original automatic transmission transfers the power to the rear wheels. The Continental served as Lincoln's flagship car during its first three generations. 1939 to 1960. In an effort to cut weight. the all steel dashboard frame was replace with an all plastic dashboard frame. a design borrowed from the Mercury division.
