Current customer rating: (428 votes ) based onExterior:
The car looks to have been repainted at some point in its life. Honestly whoever painted it did a fantastic job. It was painted the original blue color and the paint still shines great except for a spot on the roof above the rear driver door where the clear coat has peeled a bit. Please look at the picture. I believe there is only 2 small dings you can see in the pictures on the body as well. other than that it is is great shape. It also has a small crack on the windshield as shown in the pictures.
Suspension/wheels:
I have not inspected the suspension but there are not popping noises anywhere and drives like a new honda civic of its year. It is all stock. The wheels are stock and the tires are goodyear with decent tread. There is a slight shutter going about 55mph which makes me suspect the wheels need balancing but I have been driving it with no problem!
Interior:
The interior is in near perfect condition with the exception of the driver seat bolster on the outer inner side of the seat. The seam has come undone on the driver side side. and there is a tear on the inner side of the driver seat bolster. The carpet by the foot rest next to the clutch pedal has a little wear but I would still give the interior about a solid 9/10. The car is by far the cleanest I have seen. It has the stock radio and speaker (speakers are shot but still work).
Mechanical:
The engine I believe is the original engine. I have not bothered to check the VIN plate on it but the odometer clocks in at 228. 00 miles. The A/C and heat work in all the proper settings. The A/C has already been retrofitted to 134A. The engine does not smoke. no weird noises or ticking. On occasion its idles up and down. but I have not checked or cleaned the IACV so cleaning it might alleviate the issue. The transmission is a 5 speed manual transmission. It shifts like butter and the car drives beautifully. The exhaust is original as well but sounds as if it has an aftermarket muffler on it because there is a whole on the bottom side of the muffler. This is common on hondas of this year anyways. All in All. I would trust this car to drives to california and back no problem while still giving me about 35MPG!
The car is in GREAT shape for it to be almost 30 years old. The miles on this thing has not wore down this engine at all because it drives awesome with lots of power still. It has been taken care of religiously. Whoever wins this car will be in luck! These cars are becoming harder and harder to find especially in this all original almost mint condition! Happy bidding and please feel free to message me or ask any questions. I will be happy to answer any and all! The car is pick up only. I will not ship!
